On Amazon this week we found some classic Doctor Who adventures in the form of three tales from the The Twin Dilemma (opens in new tab) on DVD for £7.97 , Meglos (opens in new tab) for £10.57 and The Creature From The Pit (opens in new tab) for £6.49 from the Tom Baker era. And Frontios (opens in new tab) for £7.79 and Four to Doomsday (opens in new tab) for £5.49 from the Peter Davison years.

A couple of modern classics from Terry Gilliam next; first we have the crazy dystopian tale Brazil on Blu-ray (opens in new tab) for £6.97 and also on DVD (opens in new tab) for just £3.76 .

Also from Mr Gilliam we have time travel shenanigans with Bruce Willis in Twelve Monkeys , which is available on DVD (opens in new tab) for £4 and on Blu-ray (opens in new tab) for £7.47 .

Visit the other Hellmouth next, you know, the one in Romford, with bizarre spoof comedy Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace (opens in new tab) . The complete series is on DVD for £6.97

Fancy some post apocalyptic robot mayhem? Why not check out Hardware . The special edition release of this 2000AD short story inspired film is available on a special edition Blu-ray (opens in new tab) for £8.99 and on DVD (opens in new tab) for £9 . With just a penny in it the Blu-ray is probably the best bet.

Go all the way back to the start of the recently cancelled Sanctuary and witness Amanda Tapping with an English(?) accent in season one (opens in new tab) is on DVD for £13.9 7 and the second season (opens in new tab) is an even cheaper £10.99 .

A few “deals of the Week” from Play next: We have zombie in Africa with The Dead on Blu-ray for £8.49 . The strange pairing of Superman and Superman Returns again on Blu-ray for £5.99 . Isn’t that like watching the same film twice? And finally from Play’s “Deals of the Week” we have Steven Soderbergh’s killer virus film Contagion on triple play for £9.98.

On our wander round Asda this week we spotted Chronicle, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, Sherlock Holmes 2, Underworld, Darkest Hour and Iron Sky for £10 each on DVD.

Darkest Hour and Chronicle were also available on Blu-ray for £14.97 each and Iron Sky for £12.97 . Asda also had an offer on on sci-fi Blu-rays: You can pick up the X-Men Quadrilogy, Fantastic Four double sets, 28 Days and Weeks Later and an Aliens vs. Predator boxed set for £10 each.

Also in Asda this week we found cute little talking Dalek key rings for £4 each. Staying with Daleks for a moment Play have everyone’s favourite Whovian menace immortalized in drinking mug for £7.99 .

From the forum this week Beaker found the X-Men – Ultimate Collection (opens in new tab) on Blu-ray for £21.97 . Not bad a bad price for all five X-Men movies . The ever reliable Silver Fox 67 told us about the Quantum Leap season one to five complete boxed set (opens in new tab) on DVD for just £35.97 . Oh Boy.

Random suggestions next and this week Play have a range of sci-fi themed travel pass holders for £2.99 each. You can get Doctor Who with the logos of UNIT , the Time Lord Council and Adipose Industries . There’s one featuring Mega City One’s favourite law man Judge Dredd . Also available are some Marvel related ones including Stark Industries , Atlas Foundation and Captain America’s Shield Logo . There are plenty more designs to tempt you here .
