Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise could be about to re-team for the first time since Interview With The Vampire , with Fox keen to recruit the former to star alongside the latter in Go Like Hell .
Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the film is based upon racing opus Go Like Hell: Ford, Ferrari and Their Battle for Speed and Glory at Le Mans , written by author A.J. Baimes.
The film will tell the story of the competition between the Ford Motor Company and Italian sports car designer Enzo Ferrari, with the rivalry coming to a head at the Le Mans race in 1966.
Cruise is already on board to star as car designer Caroll Shelby, and THR reports that Fox has made overtures to Pitt to sign on to star opposite him, although his prospective character has yet to be confirmed.
Pitt had previously been attached to star back when the project was being helmed by Michael Mann in 2009, and apparently remains interested in the story having met with the new team. Watch this space…
