The X-Files revival series is set to debut in January 2016. If you start watching from season one today, you can relive the entire nine seasons of its original run prior to the revival premiere. At least, that’s what Fox’s latest promo clip is encouraging fans to do — and what better way to stir up our nostalgia than offer up a smattering of brand new footage to entice us?
David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprise their roles as FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully in the new six episode season, which we know very little about so far. On the basis of this teaser it’s likely that the pair are going to dip back into another supernatural case. Check out the snippet below, and pay attention around the 26 second-mark for the new footage.
Did you see it? Yes, it’s a very brief glimpse. One thing’s for certain – Mulder is still seeking the truth, and Scully’s still after the answers. Their haircuts may have changed but their desires remain the same.
