Spider-Man: Homecoming FINALLY confirms Michael Keaton is Vulture

Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, has confirmed a long-standing rumour: Michael Keaton will play Vulture in the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming (opens in new tab).

Speaking to the Toronto Sun (opens in new tab), Feige was excited about the casting of new MCU villains, including Keaton “We’ve had a wish list and most of them in the near-term are coming together. Cate Blanchett is playing Hela in Thor: Ragnarok. Michael Keaton’s Vulture in Spider-Man is something.”

Vulture has previously featured in concept art for the film but this is the first confirmation of Michael Keaton, who had previously signed-on to appear in Homecoming, playing the winged baddie (despite being heavily rumoured to be the case).

Directed by Jon Watts and starring Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei and Donald Glover, Spider-Man: Homecoming will hit theaters on July 7, 2017.
