Want to be scared for five days straight? What do you mean no? Of course you do. London’s FrightFest 2016 is looking frankly intimidating this year with more than sixty horror films showing from August 25 to 29. Yep, that’s a whole lot of fake blood.
The line up has a slew of European and world premieres such as Sean Brosnan’s My Father Die and Korean zombie movie Train To Busan. Other highlights include possession movie Let Her Out, and this years movie adaptation of Stephen King’s Cell starring Samuel L. Jackson and John Cusack. Rob Zombie’s slasher 31 is also making a gory appearance alongside Saw sequel director Darren Lynn Bousman’s Abbatoir. Given how I felt after only two days of horror earlier this year at the Glasgow leg of the festival – tracked helpfully by a heart rate monitor (opens in new tab) – this is going to be quite the experience.
It all takes place at the Vue Cinema at Shepherds Bush in London and you can see the schedule on the FrightFest site here. (opens in new tab) Passes go on sale July 2 for both day passes and access to the full festival and will be available to buy online. Individual tickets will be available on July 23.
