Baldurs Gate returns this summer with Baldurs Gate: Enhanced Edition

Today developer Beamdog and publisher Atari (along with D&D game master’s Wizards of the Coast) announced Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition and that it’s coming out this summer. Other than this very little info is out there. The devs have gone on record (opens in new tab) about the edition saying “This is the Enhanced Edition, it’s not a repackage. We have the original source code and are doing a significant update.” We’ll doubtlessly know more very soon, but with this and the Diablo III release date (opens in new tab) this has been a pretty crazy day for a certain collection of gamers.
