Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (opens in new tab) isn’t even out yet (March 25 in case you were wondering) and the gang are already gearing up for another go, with the full Justice League movie starting filming on April 11, according to Entertainment Weekly (opens in new tab).
So that’s Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill’s Supes and Ben Affleck’s Batman teaming up with Ezra Miller’s Flash (opens in new tab), Jason Momoa’s Aquaman (opens in new tab), and Ray Fisher’s Cyborg (opens in new tab). It’s set to be both a big ensemble superhero movie and set the foundations for DC’s wider franchise plans, with films planned for all involved. No pressure then.
Obviously, there’s little info on the next instalment although director Zach Synder has talked about how the Justice League will face a “bigger enemy” (opens in new tab) than the tease of Doomsday shown off in Batman v Superman.
Speaking when Doomsday was revealed Synder said: “We’re working on Justice League right now, right? In a weird way, Justice League is the next step for these characters to form a bigger team. Maybe there’s a bigger enemy to fight”.
Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Diane Lane, Gal Gadot, Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Laurence Fishburne and Amy Adams, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will arrive in UK and US cinemas on March 25, 2016.
