Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them has added some A-list firepower to its growing ensemble, with THR (opens in new tab) reporting that Jon Voight has joined the cast. No details have been confirmed yet, but he’ll be joined by fellow new additions Humans‘ Gemma Chan and Selma‘s Carmen Ejogo.
The trio will star opposite Eddie Redmayne, who is playing protagonist Newt Scamander, a prominent magizoologist and adventurer. The film will be set in the same universe as the original Harry Potter series, but will take place in New York City some 70 years previously.
Voight and co. will add yet more stardust to an ensemble that already includes Ezra Miller, Colin Farrell, Samantha Morton and Katherine Waterston. Directed by David Yates, the film will mark the screenwriting debut of J.K. Rowling, and will hit UK and US screens on November 18 2016.
