Game of Thrones (opens in new tab) fans, I hate to remind you of this, but Jon Snow has one teeny, tiny flaw: his penis. And according to showrunners David Benioff and Daniel Weiss, that’s because actor Kit Harington is just too damn perfect.

“There has to be some downside to being Kit Harington, right? It seems only fair,” the duo said in a recent interview with Esquire (opens in new tab). “He’s handsome, talented, smart, and so decent to the core that it’s impossible not to like him. Maddening. The one thing we can do is saddle his character with a tiny pecker.”

So if you think back to season 6 and the barb Tormund tossed Jon Snow’s way when the fallen hero was resurrected – “I saw your pecker. What god would have a pecker that small?” – now you know why that line is there.
