Ushered to the big screen by Evil Dead producer Sam Raimi and Monster House director Gil Kenan, the modern day retelling revolves around a new family’s struggle with a particularly nasty poltergeist. In a similar vein to Tobe Hooper’s 1982 original, the invisible entities up their frenzied attacks on the homestead before whisking away the youngest daughter to another dimension.
The new poster introduces one of the apparitions’ instruments of terror: a creepy-faced clown that would have anyone in their right mind running for the hills…
Co-starring Rosemary DeWitt, Sam Rockwell, Jared Harris and Jane Adams, Poltergeist opens on 22 May 2015.
