The JJ Abrams-produced 10 Cloverfield Lane (opens in new tab) is out next week, and while you might think the worst thing that could happen is seeing that monster again, apparently that’s really not what you should be worried about.
I sat down with director Dan Trachtenberg and leading lady Mary Elizabeth Winstead to talk about what’s scarier, the Cloverfield monster or John Goodman’s character Howard Stambler. The answer was definitive: Stambler.

Nice to see that if Trachtenberg was ever kidnapped and held underground, all he’d need to stay sane was a game console and a copy of Fallout.
Directed by Dan Trachtenberg and starring John Goodman, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and John Gallagher Jr, 10 Cloverfield Lane hits cinemas on March 11, 2016 in the US and March 18, in the UK.
