So, what’s the deal with Rise of Skywalker? Taking place one year after Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the galaxy has been shaken by the apparent resurrection of Emperor Palpatine – that crusty-faced villain from the first six films who got bumped off in Return of the Jedi. Now he’s gathering an army to oversee the dominance of his new ‘Final Order’, and it’s up to our heroes to stop him. Love it or hate it, there’s no denying that this is a finale full of spectacle.

Considering the amount of content on the service, that’s great value for money. Want to stream Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker online in Canada? You can via Disney Plus. Because the Disney Plus free trial (opens in new tab) isn’t available anymore, you’ll have to sign up for a membership at $11.99 per month (opens in new tab). It’s not all bad, though. You’ll then be able to enjoy the glut of other movies, shows, and documentaries on the streaming service. To cut a long story short, there’s more than enough to stream after you’re finished with Rise of Skywalker – and more is on the way.

Fortunately, it’s pretty excellent value for money: besides Disney Plus access on the Premium tier, you get multiplex and new Indian movies to go with Hotstar specials, no ads, and Full HD streaming accompanied by Dolby 5.1 audio. In addition, the annual option is even better – you can save ₹2088 a year compared to paying the ₹299 monthly fees.

If your country has Disney Plus, you should be able to stream Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker there. Disney’s announcement seemed to indicate that the movie would appear on all versions of Disney Plus, so we hold out hope that everyone will get it at the same time. If your region doesn’t have Disney Plus yet, don’t fret – the company has promised a rollout across the world over the next year or so. You’ll be able to join the party before long!
