]]>When he’s done with an after-school-special worthy bit of racial enlightenment, Kenway surveys the scene before him: two ships to sink, two towers to crumble, and one officer to skewer before his soldiers will yield. Each stage of the invasion flows organically into the next, and before you know it, Kenway has the fort flying a different sort of flag.
Assassin’s Creed IV will launch on October 31 on current-gen systems and at launch in November on next-gen. If you’re impatient, you can even buy it on PS3 first and get a discounted digital version on the PS4’s store.

]]>Luckily, EA hears our cries, dropped “Deadly Descents” off the title, and brought back the SSX we love. Don’t believe us? What if we told you it involved doing an upside down plant on a helicopter?
Thought so. It’s still a ways away from SSX Tricky when it comes to silliness, but that’s fine. This is the SSX we want. We want escapist fun, where we fly off a jump at break-neck speeds and doing insane tricks before smashing down a perfect landing. We want to spin so fast we get dizzy. We want, well, to defy reality, and it looks like the new SSX is actually going to do allow us to do that. We weren’t too sure of the squirrel suit at first, but after seeing it here we’re on board – anything that adds more insane tricks is cool in our book.

]]>The trailer is also chock-full of new footage of The Darkness II, which looks like one of the most brutal, bloody games we’ve seen in a while. Watching Jackie Estacado’s Darkness-fueled demon arms literally rip enemies apart is simply delightful, and we’re excited to control them ourselves. We also get to see some of the new moves in action, like using The Darkness’s tentacles to grab a car’s door off to use it a shield – right before throwing it at a foe to cut him in half. Yeah, it’s sort of awesome.
The Darkness II is due out in February, which gives you plenty of time to go back and play it if this trailer doesn’t give you enough satiation.
