]]>Megan will compete against Achievement Hunter’s Fiona Nova during the stream, which kicks off at 7pm PST/10pm EST right on the Mortal Kombat YouTube channel (opens in new tab) and the NetherRealm Studios Twitch channel (opens in new tab). If Megan Thee Stallion plays Mortal Kombat like how she raps, it’s over for Fiona Nova, as the woman is pure Houston savagery. Megan Thee Stallion is famously a massive Mortal Kombat fan – her favorite character is Mileena, who she has cosplayed as several times before. In October 2019 Megan Thee Stallion and Jordyn Woods dressed up as Mileena and Skarlet, respectively, but she brought back an updated version of the look last October, too. Check out her latest take on Mileena on her Instagram (opens in new tab) to promote the character’s return to MK11.
Mortal Kombat 11 hit PS5 and Xbox Series X last November, bringing a trio of new fighters along with it: Mileena, John Rambo, and Rain. The new, enhanced version of the game is rightfully called Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, and it boasts 4K graphics and reduced load times, plus 37 fighters including RoboCop, Spawn, The Joker, Terminator, and more. With two story campaigns and a staggeringly creative amount of bloodshed, if you’ve been considering Mortal Kombat 11, you might want to grab it now.
If you’re still on the fence, check out Megan Thee Stallion’s stream this Thursday, February 11 and see if Tina Snow can’t convince you.
Imagine getting kicked in the face by Mileena in first person with this Mortal Kombat 11 first person mod.

]]>The quartet will join the already-released Shang Tsung and Nightwolf, confirming the veracity of a leak we reported on (opens in new tab) back in June. The Nintendo Switch datamine showed a handful of new characters in the game’s source code. Included in the leak, but not in this Kombat Pack, was Ash (likely from the Evil Dead franchise), Sheeva, and Fujin. No word yet on whether or not those characters will be included in the second set of DLC, but it’s likely.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s silver fox Terminator is clearly a tie-in with the upcoming Terminator: Dark Fate flick (opening November 1 in the US and October 23 in the UK), which will reportedly ignore all the Terminator sequels save for Judgement Da (opens in new tab)y. Obvious Cinematic connection aside, the T-800 is a great addition to the Mortal Kombat franchise, as the two go together like Linda Hamilton and shirts that show off her biceps.
The Joker’s addition is a fun one as well, even if this version of the Joker looks a bit… young? He’s carrying an impressive-looking walking stick, bringing to mind all the possibilities for some gnarly Fatalities.
Rounding out the group is the iconic Mortal Kombat fighter Sindel and the edgy hero Spawn.
Arnie’s salt-and-pepper T-800 will be available on October 8, Sindel will jump into the fray on November 26, college freshman Joker will cackle into the game on January 28, and Spawn will drop on March 17.

]]>Both modes give out in-game currency that you can exchange for various items like skins, character intros, and profile icons. The game hasn’t even been out a day and players have already highlighted (opens in new tab) that the amount of time you need to play in order to earn some of these rewards, even a simple skin, is quite high.
NetherRealm Studios recognized the complaints in their Kombat Kast stream yesterday, saying that they would be tweaking some systems on the backend to make the grind less intense. They didn’t elaborate on when the change would be complete or how much they would be adjusting the system. They did say the changes would come in seamlessly and not through a patch.
While there’s been a lot of excitement around Mortal Kombat 11, concerns over the game’s monetization methods, hefty amount of paid DLC, and the need for some systems’ need to have a constant connection to the internet have fired up Reddit (opens in new tab) and Twitter. Some fans have even grown frustrated at NetherRealm’s quick response, with a conspiracy theory that it actually planned to launch the game in an egregious state, so it could then fix it to generate goodwill. All while maintaining an in-game economy that focuses on microtransactions.
