Pokemon Go Spinda is a controversial creature for many trainers, because it’s so difficult to catch and even when you do track it down, there are currently nine different pattern variations to collect at various times of the year – and that doesn’t include the Shinies either! This means that completing your collection of them in Pokemon Go is both time-consuming and relies on a combination of skill plus luck, making the process one that shouldn’t be entered into lightly. However, if your goal is to secure every different pattern of Pokemon Go Spinda to fill out your collection then we can help you with this guide on catching them.

All Pokemon Go Spinda variations

Pokemon Go Spinda

There were originally eight versions of Spinda in the game files, and they’ve now all been released, plus an extra one for Valentine’s Day. Here are all the Spinda versions currently available and when they went live:

  • Pattern 1 – Oct 2018, Nov to Dec 2019, Jan to Feb 2021, Oct 2021
  • Pattern 2 – Mar to Apr 2019, Sep to Oct 2020, Nov 2021
  • Pattern 3 – Sep 2018, Sep to Oct 2019, Apr 2021, Dec 2021
  • Pattern 4 – May to Jun 2019, Nov to Dec 2020, May 2021, Jan to Feb 2022
  • Pattern 5 – Jan to Feb 2019, Jun to Aug 2020, Jun 2021, Mar 2022
  • Pattern 6 – Dec 2018, Mar 2020, Jul 2021, Apr 2022
  • Pattern 7 – Nov 2018, Jan to Feb 2020, May 2020, Aug 2021, May 2022
  • Pattern 8 – Aug 2018, Jul to Aug 2019, Apr 2020, Mar 2021, Sep 2021, Jun 2022
  • Heart Pattern/Pattern 9 – Valentine’s Day 2019, 2021, 2022

Following a 2019 update the number of circles showing for Spinda in the Pokedex was increased to 20, which naturally lead players to expect more forms would be available to catch. However, that was over three years ago now and no more Spinda forms have been found since, suggesting the additional slots were either added in error or the planned content was never released.

The best Android games can make you look forward to that long plane ride or morning subway commute. They’ll turn your phone or tablet into a portal to amazing digital worlds. The Google Play Store has its fair share of mediocre games and shameless rip-offs, but there’s an ever-increasing number of games that genuinely deserve your time. If you know where to look, you’ll find fiendish puzzlers, satisfying platformers, and RPGs that can easily eat 100 hours of your time, no matter where you are. We’ve sifted through them all to come up with this list of gems.

Here are the 75 best Android games you can play right now.

70. Framed

Genre: Puzzle
Price:
$2.99/£2.79

Framed is a film noir comic book, and you are the author. Or at least, you’re re-arranging the on-screen panels to help your character, framed for a murder, escape the police. Each sequence begins paused, giving you time to assess, rejig the order of the story, and hit play. You might be doing something as simple as lighting a cigarette – or you might be deciding the best route for your character to sneak through back streets, evading the cops’ torches.

Like the best puzzle games, Framed introduces concepts slowly, and then ramps up the difficulty, stretching the limits of your mechanical mastery. Soon you’ll be tilting and rotating panels – to create new paths through alleyways, say – or quickly moving panels during the action to reveal new routes as your character runs. You’ll never be stuck for too long, but the solutions still feel clever, which keeps Framed moving along at an action movie pace.

It looks stylish, and sounds it too, thanks to a jazzy soundtrack. Framed 2 (opens in new tab) is even more polished, and introduces new ways to solve puzzles, but we’d advise playing the original first to get used to the concept.

69. Pixel Dungeon

Genre: Roguelite
Price:
Free

Pixel Dungeon looks like a pure and simple roguelike, but once you’re a few floors into its underground dungeons, you’ll release just how deep and complex a game it is. The premise is uncomplicated enough: as a Warrior, Mage, Rogue or Huntress, your goal is to strike deep into the earth to find an amulet, searching for stairs on each floor you encounter. You’ll defeat ghouls and rats, open chests, buy items from shops, cast spells, find hidden doors and face a boss once every five floors. But by experimenting, you’ll constantly discover new, unexpected mechanics. You can find seeds, for example, which you can grow into trap-like plants. You can jump into chasms to reach lower floors, at the cost of hit points. If you burst into flames from using an unidentified item, finding water will quench the fire.

With each new run, your items and potions are reset, and many start with unidentified properties. These might be good – healing or invisibility – or bad, such as vertigo of paralysis. You can identify them with rare scrolls, or, if you’re feeling brave, you can just try them out and hope for the best. These risk-reward trade-offs are what make Pixel Dungeon so compelling. Do you loot an enemy’s corpse for treasure, and risk it turning into a powerful wraith? Do you try and open that chest, which might actually be a monster in disguise? If you can get over the difficulty, and accept the fact that there’s a heavy dollop of luck at play, you’ll find Pixel Dungeon to be one of the most involved roguelikes around. Yes, you can play it on PC, but mobile is its original, spiritual home.

68. Dota Underlords

Genre: Autochess
Price: Free

We’ve resisted putting an autochess game on this list up until now, but it’s grown so popular that we can resist no longer. All games in the genre follow roughly the same structure: you purchase heroes from a random starting selection, plop them on an 8v8 grid, and watch them face off against your opponents. It’s not as simple as it sounds, and compiling the best squad round-to-round requires plenty of tactics. Dota Underlords is the most polished game in the genre, courtesy of the fact it’s made by Dota 2 developer Valve, so expect shiny visuals and a (relatively) streamlined UI.

It’s still in Early Access, so expect balancing mistakes, but Valve is updating it regularly, and it’s improving over time. It’s therefore the ideal route into the genre, and if you can’t get enough of it, you could branch out to Auto Chess (opens in new tab), another viable option.

67. To The Moon

Genre: Adventure
Price: £4.19/$4.99

To The Moon’s limited interactivity means it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but there are few games with a more intricate, emotional story. In the future, humans have developed the technology to change their own memories, travelling inside each other’s minds to twist their perception of the past. An old man wants you to make him think he was an astronaut, and from that bizarre premise a touching tale unfolds.

You travel backwards through his mind, starting with the most recent memories, down to his childhood. It’s a story in reverse, basically, which is difficult to get right, but To The Moon manages to do it, and things you see early on will take on far greater significance when you delve deeper. It’s an affecting tale of love, loss and family: don’t be surprised if you need to dry your eyes.

Download To The Moon here (opens in new tab)

66. Another Eden

Genre: JRPG
Price: Free

Finally: a fully-fledged JRPG that doesn’t throw microtransactions in your face. Another Eden is written by Masato Kato of Chrono Trigger fame, and it’s essentially a spiritual successor to that 1995 SNES classic, with a lengthy story involving a young boy travelling through time to save the world. Kato and fellow creator Yasunori Mitsuda, the Chrono Trigger composer, wanted this to feel like a traditional JRPG with no mobile game trappings, and it shows: free-to-play distractions never get in the way of its narrative or accessible turn-based combat.

If you want to level up your characters to the max and expand your party, then you’ll end up grinding a lot, or paying real money. But it’s perfectly possible to beat the game — and experience the story — with only free characters, and your party naturally expands over time. The four-direction exploration is simple, but it suits the mobile interface, and you’ll never feel short-changed. And besides, it’s free, so why not give it a shot?

65. Chrono Trigger

Genre: RPG
Price:
$9.99/£9.99

Speaking of Masato Kato, here’s the game that made him famous. Chrono Trigger was a mess when it initially hit Android back in 2012, with dodgy sound, shoddy visuals and a whole host of bugs. Over the years, Square Enix slowly upgraded it to a point where, now, it’s not just playable, but enjoyable. Sure, it’s still not the definitive version of the game, and the controls can sometimes feel a bit off, but it’s a chance to carry one of the all-time greats around with you all the time, ready to dip into when you have a spare 15 minutes.

You play Crono, a boy trapped in a time travel loop with a girl called Marle. The pair have been sent back 400 years by a freak tech accident, and Marle is mistaken for her ancestor, the current queen. We don’t want to say more than that, because Crono and Marle’s twisting journey is what makes Chrono Trigger so special: expect plenty of surprises and revelations that turn the tale on its head. The simple combat translates well to touchscreens, and the revamped graphics look better than ever.

Download Chrono Trigger here (opens in new tab)

64. Exploding Kittens

Genre: Card game
Price:
$1.99/£1.79

It’s not what you think. No lovable furballs were harmed in the making of Exploding Kittens, a physical card game now brought to phones in a digital adaptation that, thanks to some cute animations and funny sound effects, is arguably the best way to play. The premise of Exploding Kittens is simple: players take turns to play action cards (skip a turn, steal a card from another player), and at the end of their go, they draw a card. If that card is an Exploding Kitten, they…well…explode, and they’re out of the game. That’s unless they have a defuse card, which lets them stave off danger and secretly insert the Exploding Kitten back into the deck at a point of their choosing.

It’s not a tactical game, by any means, but there are sneaky ways to reduce your chances of exploding (a See The Future card will let you peek at the top three cards, for instance), and when you’re down to the last half of the deck, you’ll be sweating. The Android app will let you play with friends in person (we’d prefer using the physical cards in that case), but more importantly, it will let you play online, either with friends or strangers. Now, you never have to wait for your next feline fix. Boom!

Download Exploding Kittens here (opens in new tab)

63. Rusty Lake Hotel

Genre: Puzzle
Price: £2.09/$1.99

A sick, twisted point-and-click that asks you to kill humanoid animals, slice them up and serve them as tasty meals to the other creatures staying at the Rusty Lake Hotel. Its dark sense of humor makes it easier to stomach: for example, knocking off the rabbit, who is also a magician, involves a botched swords-through-a-box trick, and every lavish meal is set to a soundtrack of smooth jazz.

The puzzles aren’t half clever, too: devilish and varied, you’ll be re-arranging cards, making poisonous concoctions and conducting a Punch and Judy show. The murders are complex and multi-staged, requiring you to think several steps ahead. When you find the solution, you’ll feel like an evil genius.

If you like it, make sure you check out the other two Rusty Lake games (opens in new tab): Paradise and Roots, which are both bigger than this one. And if you want something a bit more personal and grounded, try The White Door.

Download Rusty Lake Hotel here (opens in new tab)

62. UnCiv

Genre: Strategy
Price: Free

A completely free, open-source recreation of one of the greatest strategy games ever made — Civilization 5 — without a single advert. What’s the catch? Well, it doesn’t look as good as the real thing: it’s a low detail recreation of Civ 5’s Strategic View, which means no fancy unit models or pretty landscapes. The UI is a bit ropey, too, but that’s a small price to pay for a game this good.

It gives you everything you need to guide a new civilzation from birth to glory, whether by force or by peace. Civ 5 is one of the best in the long-running series because of how many ways you can engineer your rise to power (we prefer diplomacy to the sword), along with plenty of unique factions, leaders and units. This is your chance to play it free, and on-the-go. Don’t miss out.

Download Unciv here (opens in new tab)

61. Battle Chasers: Nightwar

Genre: RPG
Price: £8.99/$9.99

We have a theory that Android JRPGs tend to fare better when they’re ports of existing games, rather than built for mobile from the ground up (which often leads to simplification and microtransactions). Battle Chasers: Nightwar, a port, lends credence to that theory – it’s a lengthy, complex, party-based RPG that shines in combat, where your squad’s long list of attacks and abilities respond to each other in creative ways.

One character might ignite an enemy, causing another to perform a critical attack, causing a third to heal the whole party. It’s in finding these synergies – along with beautiful art, solid voice acting and easy-to-understand touch controls – that Battle Chasers: Nightwar shines just as brightly as it did on PC and consoles.

These Pokemon Go Tapu Koko Raid Guide Counters will help you defeat one of the four Legendary Tapus During the Pokemon Go Alola to Alola Event. Tapu Koko is one of the most recognizable and powerful of the Tapus and Pokemon Go trainers have another chance to add one to their team via Five-Star Raids in the event.

With a unique typing and power, Tapu Koko will be one of the most desirable Pokemon to catch in Pokemon Go. With all that in mind, here’s a handy guide on everything trainers need to know about Tapu Koko including the best counters and what moves trainers can expect it to use in battle.

Pokemon Go Tapu Koko Counters

Tapu Koko is an Electric and Fairy-type making it weak to just Ground and Poison-type moves. There is just one viable Mega Pokemon option of both the Ground and Poison typing, currently in Pokemon Go.

Mega Steelix is great for trainers looking to bring a Ground team into battle with Tapu Koko. While Steelix doesn’t have the best moves–it doesn’t have a Ground-type Fast Attack–it does have access to Earthquake and can still boost the moves of your team. Also, its typing will resist all of Tapu Koko’s attacks.

Mega Beedrill will take advantage of Tapu Koko’s Poison weakness and has access to a plethora of moves to weaken the Legendary. Poison Jab and Sludge Bomb are great moves to hit Tapu Koko hard, but it having access to Drill Run gives Beedrill another attacking option. However, be aware that Mega Beedrill is a glass cannon and probably won’t last too long in battle.

As for other options, Rhyperior, Excadrill, Landorus, Groudon and Garchomp are great Ground-type options to take into battle. Roserade is another Poison-type option that has a high attack stat.

Here’s a list of viable options to take into battle against Tapu Koko.

Tapu Koko Moveset

Tapu Koko’s Fast Attacks consist of the Electric-type Volt Switch and the Normal-type Quick Attack. Ground types will excel against Tapu Koko’s Volt Switch, but Steel and Rock types like Rhyperior, Steelix and Excadrill will resist both attacks.

Roserade’s Grass typing does resist Tapu Koko’s Electric-type moves, but won’t resist Quick Attack.

As for Tapu Koko’s Charged Attacks, Thunderbolt and Thunder are the Legendary’s main STAB attacks. Again, Pokemon like Rhyperior, Steelix, Excadrill and Roserade will resist them. Rock and Steel types will also resist Tapu Koko’s Brave Bird Charged Attack. Its Flying typing does hit Mega Beedrill and Roserade super effectively.

Dazzling Gleam is Tapu Koko’s one Fairy-type move and will damage Pokemon like Rhyperior and Groudon neutrally. It will also deal super effective damage against other Ground types like Garchomp and Krookodile, so be aware of which moves the Legendary has. Steel and Poison types like Steelix, Excadrill, Mega Beedrill and Roserade all resist Dazzling Gleam.

Steelix and Excadrill are the two Pokemon that actually resists all of Tapu Koko’s attacks so it may be useful to bring them into battle.

Here’s a breakdown of all the moves Tapu Koko can know in Pokemon Go.

Blizzard has revealed its new mobile game, Warcraft Arclight Rumble, and nearly four years after fans raged against the first appearance of Diablo Immortal, the tone of responses from hardcore fans is much more measured.

If you missed the announcement, Warcraft Arclight Rumble is effectively a Warcraft-themed take on Clash Royale. You and your opponent basically play tower defense against each other, sending units to take down the enemy base while defending your own stronghold.

“Yep, it’s a mobile game,” Reddit user echolog (opens in new tab) writes. That’s currently the top comment on Arclight Rumble’s announcement in the World of Warcraft subreddit, and it pretty much sets the tone for the community’s responses to the game across the board.

“I am clearly not the target audience for this,” user Rambo_One2 (opens in new tab) also writes on Reddit, “but I’ll probably give it a download and try it out.”

There’s some skepticism about the free-to-play game’s monetization plans, which have not yet been revealed, but otherwise the community is responding to Arclight Rumble in much more measured tones than we saw with Diablo Immortal – which shows that Blizzard has probably learned a thing or two from that game’s infamous announcement.

Diablo Immortal was revealed at the opening ceremony for BlizzCon 2018. Seemingly intended as a big show stopping announcement, it did not play well before an audience of hardcore Blizzard fans who were hoping for a real, proper Diablo 4 – a game which would not be announced for another year.

This time, Blizzard made it incredibly clear that this would be a mobile game well ahead of the reveal stream, and word of a mobile Warcraft game had been kicking around for years.

Blizzard has lost a lot of its prestige among hardcore fans over the years thanks to poor releases like Warcraft 3: Reforged, lengthy delays for games like Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4, and, much more seriously, the ongoing fallout from the sexual harassment suit. Part of the moderate response to Warcraft Arclight Rumble might be down to lowered expectations, but hopefully the game can exceed them once it’s available.

Warcraft Arclight Rumble does not currently have a release date, but it will soon be available in beta, and you can sign up for the test on the official site (opens in new tab).

Pokemon Go Season of Alola Event is taking everyone to the Alola region and while there were some Alola forms already in the game, this is the first time trainers will be able to catch some Pokemon native to the Gen 8 region.

Pokemon Go trainers will be able to catch new Pokemon, and even hunt for new Shinies during the week-long event. Raids will change and a Legendary from the Alola region will be there to give trainers a challenge.

We’ve come up with this handy guide to give trainers all the pertinent information including how to get all the new Pokemon that are being introduced with this Season of Alola event.

Pokemon Go Season of Alola Event Start and End Time

The Pokemon Go Alola event begins Tuesday, March 1 and will go until 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9.

Every New Pokemon and Shiny in the Season of Alola Event

There will be 17 Pokemon from the Alola region introduced to Pokemon Go during the Season of Alola event. Many of them will only be obtainable via evolution but many will be catchable in the wild and in Raids.

The first three Pokemon are the Alola region starters. The Grass-type Rowlet, Fire-type Litten and Water-type Popplio will all be appearing more often in the overworld during the event. Be sure to go out there and catch these rare and powerful Pokemon.

Of course, all three of the Starters have two evolutions each. To obtain those Pokemon, trainers will need to use 25 candy to evolve Rowlet into Dartrix, Litten into Torracat and Popplio into Brionne.

Here’s a few other things to look out for as well:

  • Gather 100 candy to evolve Dartrix into Decidueye, Torracat into Incineroar and Brionne into Primarina.
  • The Alola regional bird Pokemon is Pikipek and it also has two evolutions. Use 25 candy to evolve Pikipek into Trumbeak and 100 candy to evolve Trumbeak into Toucannon.
  • Yungoos is the Normal-type, early Route Pokemon of the Alola region and can be evolved into Gumshoos with 50 candy during the day. Shiny Yungoos is also available now in Pokemon Go for those Shiny Hunters.
  • Rockruff, the Rock-type Dog Pokemon, will be obtainable through Raids during the event. This is also the second Shiny from Alola introduced to Pokemon Go. Rockruff has a split evolution depending on the time of the day trainers evolve it. By using 50 candy during the day, Rockruff will evolve into Lycanroc (Midday form). Using 50 candy during the evening will have Rockruff evolve into Lycanroc (Midnight form).
  • Comfey, the Fairy-type Pokemon, will also be available to catch in the wild but is only found in Hawaii.

We then have the psudelegendary line of Jangmo-o. This Fighting and Draong-type Pokemon will be a very rare encounter in the wild as well as hatching from 10km Eggs. Use 25 candy to evolve Jangmo-o to Hakamo-o and 100 candy to evolve it into Kommo-o.

And finally we have Tapu Koko, one of the Legendary Tapus of the Alola region. This powerful Pokemon is available only through five-star Raids for a limited time so be sure to go out there and try your hand at catching it.

Pokemon Go Season of Alola Raids

During the Season of Alola event, the Raids will shift to feature many Pokemon from the Alola region.

Here’s a rundown of which Pokemon trainers can find in Raids during the week-long event:

  • One-Star Raids: Bellsprout, Snubbull, Phanpy, Electrike, Rockruff
  • Three-Star Raids: Alolan Raichu, Nidoqueen, Wigglytuff, Alolan Graveler
  • Five-Star Raids: Tapu Koko
  • Mega Raids: Mega Venusaur

Pokemon Go Season of Alola Research Tasks

There will be two separate research tasks during the Season of Alola event. The first is your standard Field Research that gives trainers items and encounters with some Alola Pokemon. The other is a Special Research that will do the same, but there is no deadline to complete them.

Here’s the Field Research trainers can obtain by spinning PokeStops during the event.

Pokémon Go players are becoming frustrated with cheats who keep developing new methods faster than Niantic can ban them.

Cheating in Pokémon Go is almost as old as the game itself. Players have been using Pokémon Go cheats for years but always with the fear of a ban from developer Niantic.  There is currently a three-strike system in place for players aiming to use third-party apps to gain an advantage in the game. However, despite these preventative measures there always seems to be more people circumventing the rules.

The most popular Pokémon Go-based subreddit r/PokemonGo currently has a thread about banning boasts about cheating as one of its top posts. In the comments one user complains in a thread of similar stories about local players bragging about spoofing:

friendly_reminder_we_ban_users_that_participate from r/pokemongo

Spoofing is using methods to trick the app into thinking you are somewhere you’re not. You can use this method to catch far-away rare Pokémon, battle and maintain gyms, as well as hit Pokéstops out of range. People do this in tandem with auto clicker apps that go out and automatically catch Pokémon for them. There is a subreddit promoting just this with almost 200,000 active members.

@PokemonGoApp @NianticLabs How do you not have an anti-cheat for obvious cheaters like this?!??! Walked 114 kilometers in a single day? Yeah right pic.twitter.com/z0I9RHClKwFebruary 3, 2022

There are other activities that members of the community find suspicious but cannot report without proof of cheating. One user talks about teams of level 50 players, the highest and most difficult rank in the mobile game, swarming gyms, and preventing legitimate players from playing. While it cannot be proven the Pokémon were gained through illegitimate means it seems unlikely so many were caught regularly.

friendly_reminder_we_ban_users_that_participate from r/pokemongo

Suspicious activity has been spotted by Twitter users also. One player claimed they encountered a Magikarp which soft-locked their game when they attempted to battle and accounts made up of just strings of numbers. Speaking privately to GamesRadar, another user shared screenshots and spoke about gyms surrounding them filled with high-level Pokémon which are healed many times more than should be possible when they are close to being defeated.

One of my local gyms currently has a dodgy Magikarp in it that softlocks your game when you try to battle it.I’ve also seen a bunch of accounts with names that were just strings of numbers, who all uploaded pokémon to the same gym after I was mysteriously kicked out mid-battle.February 11, 2022

Unfortunately, it seems players have accepted things like this series of recent cheating as expected. Many have learned to accept that cheating in Pokémon Go is here to stay for the foreseeable future.

Pikmin Bloom is hosting its very first Community Day on Saturday, November 13.

Niantic’s other popular mobile game, Pokemon Go, has been hosting Community Days since 2018. The monthly time-limited events offer incentives for logging in and playing for a while. Pikmin Bloom’s first event runs all day, from 6am to 9pm local time on November 13, and is teasing rewards for players willing to put in the steps.

During the game’s first Community Day, Pikmin seedlings will grow at about 1.5x the usual rate when you walk while planting flowers. Meanwhile, fruits will be producing double the normal amount of nectar during the event, whether or not you’re walking while planting flowers. The event is also your chance to bloom Big Flowers into pansies.

Finally, if you manage to take 10,000 steps on the day of the event, Niantic will reward your athletic efforts with a special badge for your profile. And since you’ve done a good thing for your health, you can reward yourself with a cookie or something afterward. That’s not official Pikmin Bloom Community Day rules though, it’s just a suggestion.

In case you missed it, Pikmin Bloom is a new collaborative effort from Niantic and Nintendo. Similar to Pokemon Go, it utilizes AR (augmented reality) to simulate creatures wandering around in your real-life neighborhood. There’s a little more of a focus on exercise in Pikmin Bloom, as it tracks your steps and rewards you with items you can use to grow and feed your Pikmin. GamesRadar’s Rachel Weber, who never fell in love with Pokemon Go, found that it made her walks through Brooklyn a whole lot cuter.

Ready to catch a shiny Duskull in Pokemon Go this spooky season? October is associated with Halloween so what better type of Pokemon to spotlight during this month’s Community Day than a Ghost-type. And for October’s Community Day, Niantic will give trainers so many chances to catch Duskull, the Ghost Pokemon from the Hoenn region.

Duskull is a powerful Pokemon in Pokemon Go especially when it’s evolved to its final form, Dusknoir. Dusknoir wasn’t introduced into the franchise until a generation later in the Sinnoh games, and that addition to its evolutionary line has only made the Ghost-type even more popular, and also more difficult to obtain in the mobile game.

Needing a special evolution stone to evolve, there aren’t many Dusknoir out there in the Pokemon Go world but this Community Day, any trainers having a hard time finding this special stone will get a reprieve.

Here’s everything trainers need to know about the Duskull Community Day event in Pokemon Go.

Pokemon Go Duskull Community Day Start Time

pokemon go duskull

Pokemon Go Community Day featuring Duskull will begin Saturday, October 9 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time.

In those six hours, trainers will be able to catch as many Duskull that appear in the wild. Incense can be used by trainers to lure more Duskull to their location for three hours, up from the usual one hour. Lure Modules used on PokeStops will also last for three hours.

The increased potency of the Incense is one of the many in-game perks that will be available during the event window. More of these bonuses will be detailed in the section below.

How to Catch Shiny Duskull in Pokemon Go

The Community Day event will automatically have the Ghost-type Pokemon, Duskull, appear more frequently, but it is Duskull’s Shiny form that trainers will want to hunt for this coming Saturday.

The rate of a particular Shiny Pokemon appearing during a Community Day is proven to be increased during the event. According to the Pokemon Go community site, The Silph Road the Shiny odds for any given Pokemon is approximately 1 in 500. However, certain events like Community Day will increase those odds. The Silph Road confirms that the chance of finding a specific Pokemon during its own Community Day is a very doable 1 in 25.

To catch a Shiny Duskull in Pokemon Go during Community Day, trainers simply have to encounter every Duskull found in the wild during the six-hour window. Once a trainer is taken to the capture screen, they will find out if they have found a Shiny or not.

Shiny Duskull has one of the most drastic color changes in all of Pokemon. The Ghost-type changes from its gray color to a red color. For any trainer that doesn’t recognize a Shiny Duskull, it’s best if they look for the Shiny symbol next to the Pokemon’s name during the capture portion of the encounter to make sure.

Trainers can also increase the number of Duskull they encounter by using an Incense as mentioned above.

How to Get Duskunoir with Shadow Ball

Pokemon Go always offers an exclusive move for the spotlight Pokemon so they can do better in PVE and PVP battles. For Duskull, it will learn the powerful Ghost-type Charged move, Shadow Ball, upon evolving into its final evolution, Dusknoir.

To obtain this exclusive move, trainers only have from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time on October 9 to have their Dusknoir learn Shadow Ball.

Duskull needs 25 Candy to evolve into Dusclops and another 100 Candy, along with the Sinnoh Stone, to reach its final evolution, Dusknoir. Trainers will earn 3 Candy for each Duskull caught but can be doubled if a Pinap Berry is used while capturing.

To help trainers who don’t have Sinnoh Stones, Pokemon Go will give players the opportunity to earn up to four Sinnoh Stones by completing free Timed Research during the Community Day event. Be sure to complete them to get at least one to obtain a powerful Dusknoir before the event ends.

Trainers who miss the deadline can use an Elite Charged TM to swap out Dusknoir’s Charged move to Shadow Ball. However, Elite TMs are hard to come by so it’s best if you just get it through the Community Day event.

Pokemon Go Duskull Community Day In-Game Bonuses

During the Duskull Community Day, trainers will enjoy the following in-game bonuses:

  • 3× Catch Stardust
  • 30 Ultra Balls will be available in the shop at no cost. Be sure to pick them up during the event
  • Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
  • There’ll be a special one-time-purchase Community Day Box available for 1,280 PokéCoins, featuring 50 Ultra Balls, four Incense, four Star Pieces, and an Elite Charged TM.
  • For $1 trainers will gain access to the Duskull Community Day–exclusive Special Research story, Nothin’ Dull About Duskull.

Pokemon Go Sylveon is finally in the game after years of waiting, but how do you get it? As is the case with all the Eeveelutions in Pokemon Go, Sylveon has a unique evolution method along with a one-time use nickname trick, and we’ve got all the details here. If you’re missing any of Sylveon’s fellow evolutions however, make sure you check out our dedicated Pokemon Go Eevee evolutions guide. So without further ado, here is everything you need to know about how to get Sylveon in Pokemon Go.

Name trick

Pokemon Go Sylveon nickname trick

How to get Sylveon in Pokemon Go

First up is the nickname trick you can use to get either your very first Sylveon to tick it off the Pokedex, or save until you have a shiny/100% Eevee you want to dedicate to be the best Sylveon possible.

If you’re unsure how this works, all you have to do is change the nickname of the Eevee you want to evolve to Kira. The question mark in the evolve button should change to a silhouette of Sylveon – if you do not see that silhouette, do not press evolve and instead restart your app then try again. This is a one-time use trick so once you’ve used the name Kira once, you’ll have to follow the method below for any more Sylveons you want to add to your collection.

Buddy Evolution

How to get Sylveon in Pokemon Go

How to get Sylveon in Pokemon Go

Now for the “normal” method of evolving Sylveon in Pokemon Go. While other Eeveelutions require walking a certain distance and evolving at a specific time of the day, or using a themed lure module, Sylveon is all about friendship. Sylveon also arguably has the hardest method of evolution, because you need to set it as your buddy and earn 75 hearts with it.

This can be done by taking photos of Sylveon, playing with it, feeding it, spinning new Pokestops, all the usual rigmarole to earn hearts with a buddy. If you make your buddy excited you can earn a maximum of 20 hearts per day, so you can evolve an Eevee into Sylveon in four days. If you don’t get Eevee excited, it’ll take eight days, with 10 hearts per day.

In order to make a buddy excited each day, you need to keep doing activities with it. Everything on the list of activities in-game counts, along with opening gifts/souvenirs from your buddy, and when you’ve done enough, your buddy will be excited and you’ll earn double the amount of hearts for that day. To be more specific, you need a total of 32 points, and completing the full list will earn 14 points. So do each one three times and voila! One excited buddy.

That’s all there is to it! Sylveon is the final Eevee-lution in the world of Pokemon, so don’t expect any more additions to come to Pokemon Go.
