We knew previously that mother Leveilleur would be available as a custom delivery character back when patch 6.1 and its following roadmap for Final Fantasy 14 were unveiled earlier this year. Now though, Ameliance will be available via patch 6.15 for Final Fantasy 14 players later this week on June 7, and some of said players are a little too pleased by the news.

“In two days we’re gonna be custom delivering a couple more Leveilleurs,” one Twitter user commented on the news, intimating that they will, in fact, be having carnal relations with Ameliance Leveilleur. “I wish all Forchenault Leveilleur a very I’m stealing your wife,” wrote another similarly deranged Twitter user. Others have been even more creative, as you can see just below, although no less rabid.

This very unsettling situation is probably about to get a whole lot worse in little over 24 hours from now, when Final Fantasy 14 patch 6.15 launches on June 7. Ameliance has been nothing short of absolutely lovely to the Warrior of Light throughout Endwalker, so we’re not quite sure why she’s about to be subjected to wearing 2B’s outfit and maid costumes for the foreseeable future. 

These players will probably be having just as good a time as Final Fantasy 14 director Naoki Yoshida at an Eorzea D&D session, where the veteran developer recently got roped into playing a session for nigh on eight hours.

The session was hosted by NGC, a Japanese streaming studio that typically plays games like Elden Ring on Twitch. On May 30, NGC hosted a Final Fantasy 14 tabletop RPG for four players, including Yoshi-P and Alphinaud voice actor Shinnosuke Tachibana. The stream (opens in new tab) is all in Japanese and eight hours long, but thankfully a fan who goes by Kageyama Satsuki translated some of the highlights on Twitter (opens in new tab).

Yoshi-P took the role of Cellica Flame, who Satsuki describes as a “gil-obsessed lady lalafell black mage adventurer.” The adventure began as the group escorted a chocobo carriage toward Ul’dah. A young adventurer chased by marmots and an adamantoise begged them for help, to which Yoshi-P’s character responded “How much gil you got?”

It’s no surprise to see Yoshida in the role of black mage – it’s his favorite class, after all – but this greedy streak is a new one.

Tachibana’s character, an Au Ra warrior named Hirvana Torachivana, might be an even more familiar stereotype to tabletop RPG fans – he kept suggesting “Just kill em all.” Yes, that’s the voice of Alphinaud becoming a murderhobo in another vision of Eorzea.

“The players were so happy and eager to learn more of the little storyline,” Satsuki explained at the end of the stream, “and just all excitedly talking about the game, despite it being 3:30am. A feeling I’m sure many TTRPG players find familiar. How wonderful!”

Yoshida has teased that Final Fantasy 14 may end up getting jobs that are brand new to the franchise.

Earlier today, EG7 announced (opens in new tab) it would be discontinuing development of a Marvel MMO being worked on by Daybreak Games. The announcement lists “development risk profile, size of investment, and the long-term product portfolio strategy for the group” as major reasons for the cancellation of the MMO.

The company revealed during the announcement that it originally planned to invest more than 500 million Swedish krona (around $50 million) into the Marvel project over the next three years.

Instead of working on the bigger Marvel MMO, EG7 announced it’ll be focusing on smaller projects instead, continuing working on projects like The Lord of the Rings Online and DC Universe Online instead. That’s in addition to original IPs in the works at E7-owned development studios.

Unfortunately, the Marvel MMO by Daybreak Games will now never see the light of day. If you’re unfamiliar with the project, it was only announced relatively recently in November 2021, with genre veteran Jack Emmert heading up development, having previously tackled games like Star Trek Online and DC Universe Online. 

In fact, Emmert was revealed to be leading NetEase’s new U.S.-based studio earlier this month. The Chinese company announced it’d be opening its first U.S.-based studio with Emmert at the head to develop PC and console games alike, which perhaps should’ve been an indicator that work on the Marvel MMO at Daybreak Games wasn’t going so well.

Blizzard will be hosting the World of Warcraft expansion reveal livestream at 12PM EDT/9AM PDT/5PM BST over on the game’s official YouTube (opens in new tab) (embedded below) and Twitch (opens in new tab) channels. According to the scheduled stream’s description, fans will see the future of World of Warcraft during the event, so it’s definitely worth tuning in when it’s live. 

Although, there’s a chance you may have got a glimpse at the MMORPG’s next installment already. Earlier this month it was speculated that the next World of Warcraft expansion could be ‘Dragonflight’ after the source code for the game’s official website was leaked. 

Not only did the leak reveal the upcoming expansion’s title but also the URL of a new website for the expansion and details surrounding pre-purchases. We should find out whether or not these leaks were accurate by the end of today’s stream. 

This expansion reveal is clearly highly anticipated amongst fans as – an hour before the stream is due to officially begin – there are already over 60,000 people waiting on YouTube, with more joining as the wait continues. This doesn’t come as much of a surprise honestly as Blizzard did announce the event way back in early March, meaning WoW fans have been eagerly waiting for over a month for this reveal. 

In other World of Warcraft news, Blizzard previously announced that it was releasing World of Warcraft on mobile later this year. Not much is known about the mobile release right now, as it was originally revealed in Activision Blizzard’s quarterly earnings report, all we do know is that “Blizzard is planning substantial new content for the Warcraft franchise in 2022 […] and getting all-new mobile Warcraft content into players’ hands for the first time.”

Remember that the Genshin Impact Bunkoku Enigma World Quest is a Three Realms Gateway Offering event quest, so you only have until March 30 (when the event ends) to complete it. It’s quite lengthy, so don’t wait until the last minute!

Bunkoku Enigma puzzle location one, underground room

Initially, all you need to do is follow the location markers to find a secret room, and then speak to Yabe again. Turns out you need to find a total of seven Stone Slates in Enkanomiya. 

Let’s start with the easiest Stone Slate location, which is the one in the south. Just enter the old chamber through the square opening in the ground (see picture), then grab the two Stone Slates.

Next, go to the stone slate location in the northwest. They’re inside the library (see picture), south of the teleport waypoint. The entrance is opened by activating the Electro mechanisms, but you first need to complete the two Three Realms Gateway Offering event challenges (nearby red mechanisms). 

• One event challenge is a parkour task: collect the Electro orbs before the time runs out. 
• The other is a shooting challenge: hit the barrels before the timer ends. Save some time by equipping a Bow character beforehand. 

After lighting the mechanisms with Electro, the library will open. You’ll find three Damaged Stone Slates inside, all in the same room.

Bunkoku Enigma puzzle location three, mirror puzzle

Before you can get to the Stone Slate location, you need to solve a mirror puzzle. Here’s how it works:

• There’s a mechanism shooting a light beam. You can set it off using the Bukosu Box.
• The light beam passes through every Hydro mirror, but bounces off every Cryo mirror. 
• You can either freeze or unfreeze the mirrors using Pyro or Cryo attacks. Some can be rotated. This is how you plan the light beam’s path.
• If you manage to hit the floating stones, you’ve found the mirror puzzle solution.

To complete the first mirror puzzle, copy solution number one in the picture. Rotate the mirror on the left until it aligns with the square, then change the mirrors in the middle to Hydro. Then copy solution number two: the first mirror is still Hydro, but the rest must be Cryo.

After gaining access to the underground area, copy mirror puzzle solution number three. Turn them all to Cryo and rotate the middle ones to guide the light beam in the right direction. 

Go downstairs to collect the two Stone Slates and continue Bunkoku Enigma.

Solve the final Bunkoku Enigma puzzle in Three Realms Gateway Offering

Go back to the Stone Slate puzzle location near Yabe. After placing the Stone Slates, you need to move them until they form a picture. If you’re looking for the solution, it’s in the picture (move the Stone Slates twelve times in total).

Drop down to the lower floor, pick up the new Stone Slate, then activate the mechanism again. When you drop down the second time, you need to defeat an unfriendly Pyro spirit. 

Let’s rendezvous with Yabe and collect some well-earned rewards for completing the Bunkoku Enigma puzzle!

New World is putting on a crossover event with Amazon’s Wheel of Time adaptation.

Just announced earlier today, the Wheel of Time crossover event will be officially going live in New World later this month on December 24. The event won’t be sticking around in Aeternum forever though, because it’ll be wrapping up in just over two weeks from then on January 11, 2022.

In fact, the day that the new crossover event kicks off coincides with the season finale of The Wheel of Time. To celebrate the climactic episode, anyone who watches New World streams via Twitch will be in for some exclusive in-game rewards, which you can check out over on the official New World website (opens in new tab).

As for the crossover event itself though, there’ll be six new items to earn in New World come Christmas Eve. You an check out all the crossover items just below, which include the Tam’s Blade, the Shadowspawn Blade, a Red Aja Cloak, a Children of the Light cloak, the signature Ouroboros Crest, Egwene’s Cloak, and finally Nynaeve’s Coat.

This actually isn’t the only limited-time event New World will be hosting over the Winter break. Yesterday on December 16, the Winter Convergence event debuted in Amazon’s MMO, and will be running until later next month on January 11, 2022, the exact same days that the Wheel of Time event wraps up on. How to start the Destiny 2 Gjallarhorn quest “And Out Fly the Wolves”  

Stop by Xur in his new Treasure Hoard social space to grab the quest “And Out Fly the Wolves.” Visit Shaw Han in the Cosmodrome and talk to him to continue the quest. The next step of the quest simply requires you to clear the new Grasp of Avarice dungeon (normal difficulty is fine). Grasp of Avarice takes some doing, but it isn’t too complicated. Where to find powerful Fallen in the Cosmodrome 

Once you’ve cleared Grasp of Avarice and looted the final chest, return to Shaw Han to unlock the next step, which involves killing “powerful” Fallen enemies in the Cosmodrome. The Exodus Garden 2A Lost Sector, located just south of the landing zone near Shaw Han, is a great place for this. As long as you kill everything inside, one run of this Lost Sector should do the trick. 

Once that’s done, talk to Shaw Han once more and then visit Banshee-44, the gunsmith in the Tower. Banshee will ask you to clear the Exodus Garden 2A Lost Sector one more time, so it’s back to the Cosmodrome. Be sure to kill the Lost Sector boss and loot the chest for this part. 

Finishing the Gjallarhorn 

With all your weapon parts gathered, head back to Shaw Han and use the tool bench in the nearby garage to assemble a “nearly complete” Gjallarhorn. Talk to Shaw one more time to put the finishing touches on your new rocket launcher and finish the quest.

How to get the Destiny 2 Gjallarhorn catalyst 

Gjallarhorn feels great out of the box, but it’s even better with its Exotic catalyst. It lets you load two rockets at once and gives Gjallarhorn’s staple Wolfpack Rounds added lethality, so it’s well worth getting. To get it, you’ll need to head back to the Grasp of Avarice dungeon and open three secret chests as you make your way through. To open these chests, you’ll first need to get the “Burdened by Riches” debuff by grabbing some of those special engrams. These drop from yellow-bar Fallen Vandals which spawn near these secret chests; all you have to do is damage them (not kill them) to get some engrams, then leg it to the chest before your buff timer runs out. Final Fantasy 14 has only gone from strength to strength over the past two years, in the aftermath of the astounding Shadowbringers expansion in 2019. The servers at times have barely been able to cope with the influx of players, and that’s without a significant new expansion having launched in over two years.

Square-Enix’s massive MMO is barreling towards the Endwalker expansion, which launches later this year in December. Set to bring to a close a storyline that’s been running now for well over a decade, the stakes couldn’t be higher for the heroic Scions and the player base at large, as all eyes are on Endwalker to provide a show-stopping conclusion to its brilliant saga.

Announced during today’s Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase during the busy E3 2021 week, Sea of Thieves has been revealed to be partnering with Disney to introduce a number of characters from Pirates of the Caribbean including Captain Jack Sparrow, Davy Jones, and more.  

The new story is titled ‘A Pirate’s Life’ and will find players embarking on a brand new journey that will also be free to all players as part of the game’s Season 3 update that lands on June 22. There will be 5 Tall Tales to embark on throughout the seas and will find players sailing alongside Jack Sparrow himself as they visit new locations and battle new enemies.

Some of these new enemies are Sirens lurking in the oceans, Phantoms, and Ocean Crawlers. More details on what to expect from Sea of Thieves: A Pirate’s Life will be revealed nearer the time, for now, the official website shows off the developer’s excitement to collaborate with Disney.

 Sea of Thieves has recently started a new progression system along with a seasonal update structure. Season 2 of the game launched back in April, and the upcoming Season 3 Pirates of the Caribbean-themed crossover will be the game’s biggest update since its anniversary update.

Sea of Thieves is also optimized for the new Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles that launched last year. While Xbox wishes it “had more supply,” those who do have the console are able to experience games that have been optimized for the console, making use of raytracing, high frames per second, and Quick Resume. There was also an FPS boost to over 70 Xbox One games last month.

A new video has just been dropped onto the Universal Pictures All-Access (opens in new tab) YouTube channel which contains 11 deleted scenes from Warcraft: The Beginning. It’s just shy of 14 minutes of footage in total.

Plenty of the scenes aren’t finished, so there’s some placeholder CGI and visible green screens scattered throughout the footage, but you get the idea of what the creators were aiming for in each scene, and Warcraft fans should find some extra world-building and characterisation here that’s worth checking out.

The Warcraft Movie, also known as Warcraft: The Beginning, received a mixed response from critics and fans when it dropped back in 2016. The CGI was certainly very impressive and it brought the world of Azeroth to life in impressive fashion, but the movie tried to cram too much into its runtime, leading to something that “manages to feel both rushed and dull” according to our review.

There were originally plans for a sequel to the Warcraft Movie, but there’s been no word on that in quite some time, so it looks like the mediocre critical reception may have put those plans to rest. Things are looking much rosier for the game that spawned the movie though, as World of Warcraft continues to smash records. Just last year, World of Warcraft: Shadowlands launched and was the fastest selling PC game of all time.
