Gaming monitors are regularly discounted across the web, but some deals shout louder than others. Amazon’s latest ultrawide offers are roaring.

The Mobiuz EX3415R is down to just $799.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab) right now (was $999.99). This is the lowest ever price, meaning the value and quality on offer is excellent. Literally, there is no better value on this monitor – or ever has been. This is a superb all rounder, and features on our rundown of the best ultrawide gaming monitors too.

If you are on the hunt for a monstrous ultrawide gaming monitor, then it’s worth noting that the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 behemoth is also discounted – and very close to its lowest ever price. This beast is $1,799.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab) (was $2,300) – a saving of $500 which makes this more premium model absolutely worth considering if you’re looking for something to almost swallow you wholly into your games.

Ultrawide gaming monitors are gathering steam for a number of reasons – from their greater immersion for games and entertainment, to extra screen real estate for work and productivity. In fact, while previously reserved for the mega-rich, these displays are appearing on the internet’s best gaming monitor guides more and more.

You’ll find more information on both deals below, and plenty more cheap gaming monitor deals further down the page.

Before you go live for the first time or hit record on your first YouTube video there’s likely a slightly daunting shopping list of streaming gear in front of you. Everyone’s belts are getting a little tighter lately and so while there may be a few things you need to get started, there are a few ways you can make clever savings for your setup too.

As a result, we’ve put our heads together and broken down each part of a streaming for gamers set up to advise you on where you should spend a bit more if possible, and where you can save money too.

Microphone

Blue Snowball review

For anyone just starting out or wanting to save, a USB microphone is the way to go. These are plug-and-play solutions without the need to buy a separate audio mixer and there’s a range of options now that all deliver excellent results.

Blue has been a go-to brand for creators for nearly 20 years and for good reason, the Blue Snowball and Blue Yeti Nano are great all-round USB microphones at a really affordable price point. There are no real bells or whistles, just excellent sound quality in funky form factors. Even cheaper again are options from Razer with the Seiren Mini and the HyperX SoloCast which both come in under £50.

If you want to move one step up, the Elgato Wave:3 and RØDE NT-USB are great mid-range choices with a little more included. Both feature on-board gain controls and come with pop filters to help refine your audio, the Wave:3 also offers clever protection against clipping to keep you sounding great in the heat of battle.

Looking to invest a little more and head to the top of the range? The Shure MV7 is our top pick when it comes to the very best microphones for streaming. With both XLR and USB output it’s ready to grow as your content evolves and features a clever touchscreen control panel too.

With every microphone option, a good chunk of performance also comes from how you set it up both physically and with post-processing support. Take the time to optimise how close the microphone is to both your mouth and other sources of noise like speakers or a mechanical keyboard. Once you’re lined up, take advantage of any included software (or third-party options) to refine your sound and filter out unwanted background noise.

Verdict: Save

But look to spend if at all possible – the rewards will be worth it and will show tangibly in your stream’s audio quality.

Headset

BlackShark V2

This is definitely a big opportunity to save for streamers not looking to game competitively. Unless hearing those distant footsteps is important to your gameplay, the simple answer is you don’t need a headset for streaming at all. Just be smart about your speaker placement, volume and make the most of microphone levels and filters. Be mindful of the input pattern of your microphone; cardioid microphones pick up sound from the front and reject it from the rear making them a great choice for running without a headset or headphones.

If being tuned in to your game audio is important, there are great options available without breaking the bank. The Razer BlackShark V2 offers great bang for your buck value and is our current pick for best gaming headset. The Corsair HS35 will also only set you back less than $40 and is an excellent set of headphones.

Whatever you do, please don’t consider a headset with a built-in microphone as a clever solution. While you may feel like you’re ticking two boxes at once, headset microphones are painful listening, even on higher-end models.

Verdict: Save

Honestly, you can get by without a headset completely when streaming, but if you need to then you can fly with a budget set and still be successful.

Camera

Razer Kiyo Pro

“Do I need a facecam to be successful at streaming?” is a question you’ll see littering subreddits and forums and for me, the answer is a simple yes. This is probably the area with the widest price range too with streamers using everything from the cheapest webcams to cinema-grade 4K DSLRs. Something is better than nothing here but if your stream is focusing on gameplay, there’s not much to be gained by investing too heavily.

The Logitech C920 has dominated the market for a number of years and still holds up well. With a price now hovering around $60/£60, it’s a good middle ground option and can look great in the right situations. At this price point, you’re not going to see impressive depth of field blur or rapid autofocus but that’s a luxury and not a necessity. Even the cheaper C270 will do a job and is better than no camera at all but taper expectations on video quality, particularly when streaming at night.

Just Chatting streamers or those looking to put the focus on themselves might want to make a camera an area of importance. If that’s the case, the Razer Kiyo Pro ($199/£199) tops our list of the best webcams. For less of a webcam look, the Elgato Facecam ($170/£190) is a step up that delivers a picture closer to a conventional camera. With a prime lens, you’re locked into a fixed focus range, but this helps deliver that bokeh effect if you get your lighting right.

Verdict: Save – at first

A good-quality camera is going to make your stream shine and stand out – if you are saving initially, look to spend down the line on an upgrade.

Lighting

Razer Key Light Chroma

Regardless of how much you’ve spent on camera, your facecam performance is always going to be controlled by your lighting. You’ll be amazed how much better even an entry-level facecam starts to look when you feed it enough light and how poor high-quality cameras can look in gloomy rooms.

You don’t need to splash out on top-end options like the £299 Razer Key Light Chroma or the clever £89 Elgato Key Light Mini, or anything premium on the internet’s best ring light guides straight away either. While they offer seriously good performance with the convenience of app integration and remote control over brightness and temperature, these features are far from necessary. If you’re streaming on a budget, file these away in the wishlist for now.

As a starting point, a cheap IKEA desk lamp will help deliver improvements. If you do go the low-end route, consider creative ways to diffuse the light for a gentler look like bouncing it off a wall or even simply covering it with a piece of white paper (don’t do this unless you’re using an LED bulb though!).

Verdict: Save – initially

Any lighting or thoughtful approach to lights will benefit your streams, but it will pay to look to a proper solution down the road.

Capture card

Elgato HD60 X capture card

Unfortunately, game capture is one of the few areas you’ll likely need to spend to ensure you get a good quality option and one of the best capture cards to ensure your streams shine. While you’ll find plenty of aftermarket options online that promise strong performance, in reality, these tend to be more hassle than they’re worth.

Elgato has been the market leader in this space for some time and it’s a worthy crown. Both the plug-and-play Elgato HD60 X and PCIe 4K60 Pro aren’t cheap ($200/£189 and $250/£230 respectively), but they will capture gorgeous video with little to no latency. While not marketed as a gaming choice, the Elgato Cam Link is also a solid USB HDMI capture option but at $129/£119 you do sacrifice a little on the feature front.

Verdict: Spend

This is where you should direct all your saved money to; a stream captured in the highest quality – reliably – will only be great for your content.

Streaming accessories

Alex Berry

It’s not absolutely essential but an Elgato Stream Deck is one of the most helpful and widely used accessories for streaming. Giving you control of everything from scene changes to lighting and sound effects, its programmable buttons can really help streamline your production. There are a couple of sizes and models to choose from but with prices ranging up to $250/£250 they’re not a cheap addition to your setup.

Thankfully Elgato does have an option for those on a budget. The Stream Deck Mobile app turns your phone into a digital Stream Deck, offering the same functionality as a real one. Don’t be fooled by its free listing in app stores though, you’ll need an active $2.99 monthly or $25 annual subscription to unlock the benefits.

Verdict: Spend – though they are not essential

Particularly when starting out, such accessories might not be essential, though be prepared to need them after a while as your streaming prowess grows.

Summary

If you’re just starting out, it’s important to remember your setup doesn’t need to be all singing and dancing from day one, and nor do you have to go with one brand and kit out an entire Razer streaming setup, for example. Particularly if budget is a consideration, you can be smart with your investment by focussing on key areas first and utilise little wins where you can to get up and running and to look to those bigger upgrades down the line.

Remember, you’ll need to invest in a good machine to get going too, so check out our guides to the best gaming PC and the best gaming laptop markets right now.

If you’re looking to solve some of storage woes then this external PS5 SSD deal could be exactly what you’re looking for.

The 2TB Samsung T5 is at its lowest ever price and is available for just $199.99 (opens in new tab) at Amazon right now (down from $279.99). This is a fair chunk of cash, true, but this is one of the best PS5 external hard drives and best Xbox Series X external hard drives that money can buy, and you’re getting it in its massive 2TB form. We’ve never seen this model cheaper, so the value on offer in Amazon’s latest round of PS5 deals is unrivalled.

While discounts have been mounting since the drive’s initial release date a few years back, it has only ever been down to this price a handful of times.  Over the last six months or so, we’ve only seen PS5 deals reaching $210 / $220 on this model so this is bona fide excellent value.

Even though it’s an external drive, its quality is such that we’d definitely put it among the best PS5 SSD options you can get generally too. You’ll find more information on this offer just below, and plenty more PS5 deals further down the page as well.

Save $80; lowest ever price$199.99 is the lowest price we’ve ever seen on one of the best external hard drive companions for console gamers. The Samsung T5 has only ever been down to around or on this price a handful of times ever before (once in December, once in early February), so you know you’re getting a great deal.

This drive can not only handle a vast PS4 game library for storage and play – as well as store PS5 games – but it can do it really well. And by that I mean it will handle the transfers brilliantly, and do it with read and write speeds that are snappy and efficient. Its speeds are safely higher than any HDD model, and it’s all housed within a solid, sleek, and space-efficient Samsung unit. Nice. That 2TB capacity is particularly good given the size of the last generation’s library – you’ll be able to keep loads of games within arms reach at all times with this one.

And to help give you a more bird’s eye view of the storage market, here’s a batch of the best external hard drives and their latest and lowest prices for some extra info.

When it comes to the best gaming keyboards, there isn’t much that hasn’t already been done which makes choosing one come down to switch type and board size as the main factors. The schtick with the new MSI GK71 Sonic is the proprietary Sonic Red mechanical switches that MSI claims to be the fastest linear mechanical switches going right now. Add on some sexy dedicated media controls, transparent keycaps, gorgeous backlighting, and a plush wrist rest for $130, then you’ve got yourself something more compelling than the sum of parts would suggest.

Features & Design

Essential info

MSI GK71

Switch Type: MSI Sonic Red
Switch Durability: 70+ million presses
Media Keys: Integrated w/ function keys
Connection: Single USB 2.0
Battery Life: N/A
Wrist-rest: N/A
Dimensions: 17.4 x 5.4 x 1.6 in |  442.5 x 138 x 41mm

The GK71 Sonic is a full-size, mechanical keyboard crafted out of aircraft-grade aluminum alloy for the main deck that’s then wrapped inside a plastic frame. Coming from my smaller Vissles 84, the 44cm width of the board takes some getting used to. It’s also pretty heavy at almost 900g but that just means it won’t be sliding around your desk.

You’ll immediately notice the MSI Clearcaps which boast a dual-layer design where the top quarter is black plastic and the rest is translucent. Not only does this give you a sweet view of the red switch stems but it also enhances the Mystic Light RGB across the board.

You get a ton of light passing through the base as well as through the key legends for a stunning light show that you can customize to your heart’s desire in the MSI Center software or just use the onboard key combos to swap presets and adjust the brightness and speed. If for some reason you don’t like these Clearcaps, MSI includes a handy keycap puller in the box so you can swap them out and replace them with some aftermarket ones.

MSI GK71

On the top right of the board is perhaps my favorite volume dial design of any keyboard to date. The GK71 Sonic uses a dual-touch volume dial that sticks out of the top deck but also extends to a secondary dial that sticks out of the corner edge of the board. This unique design gives you two different ways to adjust the volume with ease, not to mention you can also press the top dial down to quickly mute all audio.

Underneath the board are the two sideways opening feet for some additional height adjustment and an odd X-shape cable channels designed to organize your mouse and headphone cables under the GK71 Sonic. I struggled to get my cables to stay put given how loose the channels are but your mileage may vary.

Elsewhere, MSI includes a surprisingly good wrist rest in the box. It uses memory foam and a soft pleather covering that makes it really comfortable and slip-resistant. I wish it was magnetic because it’s always shifting about and losing alignment with the board.

Performance

MSI GK71

The new MSI Sonic Reds are something special. A 35g actuation force makes them absurdly fast, light and it took me several days to get used to the featherlite touch. The keys are very smooth and don’t make too much noise compared to other types. The near-instantaneous response is fantastic for gaming, especially in fast-paced games like shooters which require quick inputs. Team this with one of the best gaming PCs or best gaming laptops and it’ll be quite the combination.

Playing the newly released Shadow Warrior 3 where the main protagonist Lo Wang moves at incredible speed while running, gunning, weaving, and jumping, the GK71 Sonic never missed a beat. Likewise, performing fantastic feats of parkour in zombie-ridden Dying Light 2 was also easy to quickly time and perform the multiple jumps and climbs with no issues. In Lost Ark, accessing the multitude of functions during intense combat was smooth and hassle-free.

Although I prefer using a Razer Wolverine V2 for my gaming because keyboards tend to exhaust my hands a lot, the GK71 Sonic was a lot less fatiguing after play. I attribute that in great part to the light touch needed. However, these days I do far more typing and productivity work than gaming and my initial experience was more frustrating due to the numerous accidental presses of adjacent keys. However, I’ve got a handle on it now; after adjusting to more of a light touch, I’m still not as confident as I would be when using a heavier switch like Cherry MX Browns. Something to bear in mind.

Overall – should you buy it?

The MSI GK71 Sonic is a lovely gaming keyboard that will surely delight gamers who like to play fast-paced shooters and MOBA’s. The new MSI Sonic Red switches are smooth, fast, and relatively quiet but typists might not enjoy the barely-there feel. The dedicated media keys and wealth of onboard commands to adjust lighting are great and overall, for just over $100, the GK71 Sonic is a great mechanical gaming keyboard to have.

There’s never been a better time to snag a mega gaming PC deal, what with new graphics cards out in the wild and ruling the roost. And you can do just that with a bunch of offerings over at Dell on their Alienware machines. They allow you to save hundreds of dollars in the process.

Among a host of other savings, Dell’s current gaming deals (opens in new tab) let you snag an Aurora Ryzen Edition R10 monster with a Ryzen 9 CPU and an RTX 3080 GPU for $230 less (opens in new tab) than its list price, and also an Alienware R12 with a saving of nearly $300 (opens in new tab) that also comes equipped with an RTX 3080 beast.

These are excellent machines and both sit atop our best gaming PC guide – and for good reason. Getting either as a bonafide RTX gaming PC deal can only be seen as an absolute win.

Aside from being proper RTX 3080 PCs, these Alienware gaming PCs have very strong configurations, featuring some of the best CPUs for gaming and the best RAM for gaming. And while their drives may be stock standard ones, the performance they offer can usually rival the best SSDs for gaming

To lay it out clearly, the Ryzen PC contains an AMD Ryzen 9 5900 processor, that RTX 3080 graphics card, a whole 32GB of DDDR4 XMP RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel-based machine has an i7 11700F CPU to go with the RTX 3080 card, and also features 16GB of DDR4 3200Mhz memory, and a solid 512GB SSD + 1TB HDD storage combo.

Remember, one of the joys of a gaming PC is that you can crack it open and tinker with it down the line to upgrade it too. You can do that immediately if those configs aren’t perfect for you: there are options to also boost the storage and memory on both PCs from the get-go.

Alienware’s machines are quality gaming PCs, hands down, no doubt. We know there’s an Alienware premium on their goods sometimes, but these discounts go a long way to negate that and offer a great way into the next generation of graphics and the 30-series cards. Getting such a machine on offer, or even an RTX 3080 laptop similar in spec, is probably one of the safest ways of getting your hands on the best RTX 3080 price.

RTX gaming PC deals

Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R10 gaming PC | $2,920 $2,689.99 at Dell (opens in new tab)
If you like key parts of your gaming rig to be from the Red Team then this R10 PC is a fine candidate for your attention. The Ryzen 9 processors are incredibly reliable gaming performers and will offer performance that you won’t regret. Combine that with the RTX 3080 – and the discount – and you’ll be flying.

Alienware Aurora Edition R12 Gaming PC | $2,490 $2,199.99 at Dell (opens in new tab)
The headline act of this beefy 30-series PC is of course the RTX 3080 graphics card. This will absolutely nail a new-gen gaming experience at (nearly) every resolution. Given the discount, the fact you’ll get a warranty, and the quality of the machine itself, this is a great deal.

While the RTX 3080 means this R12 can pull 4K gaming into genuine reach, its main strength might be to absolutely nail 1440p gaming and dominate 1080p (important for esports or competitive players). Add one of the best gaming monitors – or, possibly, one of the best 4K monitors for gaming if you prefer visual fidelity to speed and framerates – and you’ll have a hell of a setup.

Sometimes you gotta give your head a break and swap in a pair of PC speakers instead of one of the best gaming headsets or PC headsets for gaming. When that time comes, you may want to snag the Edifier G2000 PC speakers, which pack a pint-sized audio punch without injuring your wallet.

As someone who easily gets uncomfortable when wearing a headset for too long, it’s nice to have the option to enjoy some crisp audio without pinching my glasses for hours. And with the speakers on even the best gaming monitors rarely providing the kind of audio kick I like, plugging in the Edifier G2000s and fighting the Reapers in Mass Effect Legendary Edition has never sounded so epic.

$99.99 at Amazon US (opens in new tab) | £99.99 at Amazon UK (opens in new tab)

The Edifier G2000 PC speakers offer high-quality audio at an incredibly reasonable price: right now they’re comfortable under the three-figure mark at Amazon, which means you can get some fantastic sound without the crash of breaking your piggy bank. They definitely earn a spot in our best computer speakers run down, and are, in their own, way a great gaming sound system for PC.

We got a chance to test out the Edifier G2000, using them to watch a movie, listen to some music from CircoLoco Records, and play a handful of today’s hottest games. Here’s how they stack up.

Edifier G2000

Design & Features

The Edifier G2000 speakers have a 3.5mm rubber AUX cable with gold-plated connections that feels sturdy and durable, a USB-A to USB-A cable, and a power adapter. The speakers are connected by a non-detachable cable, which can be frustrating for people who like to have more flexibility with their setup. However, the length of the cable made setting up on my desk rather easy, as was tucking the cable away out of sight.

The G2000 are housed in matte black plastic with rounded edges all around. They feel incredibly sturdy and aren’t easily tipped over by wandering cats. The speakers are slightly tilted up which helps a lot as they’re rather short. The back of the main speaker has ports for USB-A, an AUX-in cable, a subwoofer out AUX, and power. The side of that speaker has buttons and toggles which change the input (AUX, USB, or Bluetooth), adjust the audio settings for gaming, music, or movie modes.

Edifier G2000

There are RGB light panels along the sides and back of both 2.75-inch speakers, and while the default color is blue, you can adjust it – although it’s not the most brilliant feature. Pressing the bottom button adjusts the EQ settings between game, movie, and music modes – and that changes the color as well. A long press will change the colors, a short press will change the mode. It can get a bit finicky, especially since there are color breathing and color-changing modes that you can only get to by cycling through the long press every time.

Keep in mind these speakers have a power-up sound that’s like a revving car engine – and it will get old fast.

Performance

These little badboys pack an absolutely punch, with a decent bass unit and 8W power output for each speaker. I was genuinely surprised at how good they sound for how small they are, and swapping between the EQ modes makes a noticeable difference. You can’t manually adjust any of the EQ settings (unless you plug these into a sound card), which may be a deterrent for the audiophiles among us, but likely isn’t an issue for many of the people who will use these speakers.

The bass won’t go too crazy, which makes sense because of the speaker size, however it’s an impressive amount of bass for such baby speakers. And if you need more thumb, that’s why there’s a 3.5mm aux output option for a subwoofer. The lows, mids, and highs with these speakers are great across the board and never sound tinny.

It’s great to play single player games like Mass Effect Legendary Edition or Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order with these speakers, as you get a bombastic, full sound that really feels like you’re playing through a movie. Listening to music also sounds fantastic, as I bumped a ton of techno and hip-hop on these bad boys during my work day.

Edifier G2000

Overall – should you buy it?

If you’re looking for speakers that won’t take up a ton of space but can pack a ton of sound, the Edifier G2000 speakers are it. Not only can you use them to team brilliantly with your contender for best gaming PC or best gaming laptop, but these can be hooked up to your phone to get the party started or your TV to help increase the sound of your console gaming – though given the size of these you’re probably still better off with a PS5 headset, PS4 headset, Xbox One headset, or Xbox Series X headset.

They’re easy to move around, look great in almost any setup, and have three distinct sound modes that let you adjust these for movies, gaming, or music. At under $100 / £100, the Edifier G2000 are small sound savages, and absolutely worth the price.

Knowing how to pre-order Deathloop is an ideal thing to know for fans of Arkane Studios, Dishonored, Prey, and other Very Good Video Games. Wash away some of those early-2021 blues with a Deathloop pre-order to ensure your getting the next immersive sim game from Arkane in your veins on day one. Coming from Arkane Lyon, specifically speaking, Deathloop looks to be a breath of fresh air but laced with some of those tell-tale Arkane signs. Surely, a Deathloop pre-order is a wise thing to consider as we trudge our way through the winter of 2021. First things first, though, and that’s to note that the game has a release date of May 21, 2021, and you can see the very latest and lowest prices right now, wherever you are, below.

Deathloop is going to be a PS5 and PC exclusive – albeit a timed one – so players on those platforms can act now and nail down their Deathloop pre-order. If you’re like me and are planning to double up on big game pre-orders that month, I believe that picking up both a Mass Effect Legendary Edition pre-order as well as a Deathloop pre-order means – I think – that you have to play all of the former before the latter in *checks notes* a week. Them’s the rules.

Deathloop on PS5 certainly looks like a very interesting prospect though, and that’s due to it being able to harness all the power and opportunities the PS5 presents. The controller is undoubtedly a key part of this. For example, we know that weapons will jam and you’ll feel them in the DualSense, particular if you have early, limited weapons; you’ll feel distinct nuances in recoil and reloading animations that vary from weapon to weapon; and you’ll feel the movement’s of Colt translated through the DualSense, down to the feel of each different surface your traversing.

Overall, however, the game looks like an absolute treat once again from Arkane. There’s the immersive sim-flavoured setting and story, draped in a retro 60s-inspired aesthetic, a mix of supernatural powers as well as cool weapon mechanics, and some intriguing characters and targets to boot. We can’t wait to place our Deathloop pre-order and neither should you. Here’s the lowdown on how to preorder Deathloop and what’s occurring with each edition available.

The best Deathloop pre-order prices and deals

Deathloop

There are only two editions of the game on offer, which should make a Deathloop pre-order relatively easy. Picking between the Standard and Deluxe versions of the game shouldn’t make you lose too much sleep.

Whatever version you choose you do get the following pre-order bonuses:

  • A unique Weapon in the form of the Royal Protector Machete (PS5 Exclusive)
  • A character Skin in the form of “Storm Rider” Colt
  • One Trinket (an equippable buff)

Pre-order Deathloop – Standard Edition

Deathloop

The Standard Edition of Deathloop is pretty modest, offering just the game itself. LG has shared a sneak peek at its rollable phone, and it sounds like it won’t remain solely the stuff of tech demos for much longer.

The Korean electronics giant capped off its half-hour long CES 2021 press conference with a brief teaser of the LG Rollable: as the conference ends, we see the whole thing playing out on a device the size of a tablet. Then the tablet’s screen seamlessly scales down, reducing the overall size of the device and returning it to a more typical phone aspect ratio.

If you’ve seen the way LG’s rollable TVs emerge from their bases, it’s a lot like that – just in the size of something that could fit in your pocket. Foldable phones have been on the market for a few years, but a rollable screen could have the advantage of no visible seams and less overall bulk when rolled/folded down. Plus, I’ve gotta say that I’m generally excited for any kind of phone that doesn’t just look like every other phone from the last eight years.

The way the phone effortlessly shrinks looks magic, at least in the magical school of carefully constructed press conference tech demos. But according to CNET (opens in new tab)‘s sources, extremely real LG Rollable phones will start rolling out onto the market later this year.

Other tech marvels from CES 2021 so far include a 48″ gaming OLED that bends at the press of a button, a new chair from Razer that unfolds a 60″ wraparound screen, and the long-awaited announcement of GeForce RTX 3060 cards.

LG is showing off a new 4K display that goes from a gaming-friendly curve to a more cinematic flatscreen at a single button-press.

The 48-inch screen features a single button on its base that, when pressed, can bend the screen to “a curvature radius of up to 1000r”, helping immerse you in games by putting you at the center of the image. Press the button again and the screen will automatically flatten out so you can sit back on the couch to watch a movie or show at the standard rectangular aspect ratio (or vice versa, and you can adjust how much the screen bends to fit your preference).

The screen also features Cinematic Sound OLED technology, which vibrates the display’s panel itself to create sound instead of using standard built-in speaker technology. LG says this helps create more immersive audio as well, with higher quality sound that seems like it’s really coming from the image instead of just below it. The new display is one of the featured items at LG’s offline exhibition hall in Seoul, though you can also take a tour yourself without leaving home on LG’s website (opens in new tab)

The overall design is just a prototype for now, and it may never make it to full scale production, but it’s definitely one of those CES finds that makes you stop and go “oooh”. Make sure you stay tuned to GamesRadar for more news from the show throughout the rest of the week.

You don’t have to wait to grab our picks for the best gaming TVs.

The cheap 4K TV deals are coming in very steadily this winter, and as part of the after Christmas sales, there’s a whole bunch of the best gaming TVs on offer in the form of LG’s OLED range and Samsung’s QLED panels. Nice.

Either one is arguably the best TV for PS5 and Xbox Series X without question. In a sea of acronyms, however, this can be hard to digest. As a brief overview, ‘QLED’ is Samsung’s premier trademark LED technology which is backlit to provide a clearer and brighter picture than its competitors, thus offering a bright and more vivid experience that can leave others in the shade. On the other hand, OLED TVs from LG offer excellence at the other end of the scale in terms of grays, blacks, and darker shades or tones.

Many of the options below also offer a 120Hz refresh rate, support for variable refresh rates, Nvidia G-Sync compatibility (on LG models), and Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG. Plus, the concrete fact of having HDMI 2.1 ports makes them very future proof for console gaming – and even PC gaming.

Anyway, there are a vast array of TVs in these premium brackets discounted this Holiday Season, and to save you the hassle of rounding them all up we’ve collected a large handful or two here. If you’ve been lucky enough to buy a PS5 or buy an Xbox Series X this winter, then these are the televisions you’re looking for to complete your next-gent (or is it current-gen, now?) experience. Enjoy!
