The post Ghost of Tsushima price guide: the best deals on the Directors Cut and other editions appeared first on Game News.
]]>I’ll leave you to read our Ghost of Tsushima review (opens in new tab) in full but, as Rachel says, it really is a fitting swansong for the PS4 generation. Created by Sucker Punch, the team behind inFamous and Sly Cooper, this new open-world adventure takes place in feudal Japan and tasks you with holding off hordes of Mongol invaders. Doing so won’t be easy, either; you’ll need to learn “the way of the Ghost” to get the upper hand in what looks to be a drop-dead gorgeous battle for survival.
The Collector’s and Special Editions of the PS4 version may be harder to find nowadays, but they are still out there. Somewhere. And that Director’s Cut really is going to be a great entry point and returning point for players. We’ve rounded up the latest prices and deal for all of them.
And while you wait for your copy to arrive, perhaps you can spend some time swotting up and preparing with our Ghost of Tsushima guide (opens in new tab), which includes a great place to start: the best Ghost of Tsushima tips (opens in new tab).

When it arrives on August 20 this year – a matter of weeks away! – the Director’s Cut will easily be the best place for newcomers to jump into Ghost of Tsushima. Featuring a brand new Iki Island expansion and access to a whole host of PS5 features the Director’s Cut is the fullest and most bombastic experience of Ghost of Tsushima that will be available.
If you want to consider the lowest cost method to get the Director’s Cut if you already own a copy of the game, then that upgrade, on either platform, will incur a smaller cost:
– From PS4 Director’s Cut to PS5 Director’s Cut will be $9.99.
– From standard PS4 Ghost of Tsushima to PS5 Director’s Cut will be $29.99.

Get Ghost of Tsushima in its most straightforward form with the standard edition. Lovely. And remember, if you can find a cheap copy of the PS4 version, you may end up being able to get it, and the upgrade cost for lower than a PS5 Director’s Cut version too! Might be worth considering that to save some beans.

A Special Edition has arrived, too, and includes a Steelbook version of the game, case plus a voucher for an in-game skin for a Hero of Tsushima mask and sword skin, a Charm of Hachiman’s Favor, one technique point, the Director’s Commentary, and a digital copy of the mini-version of the artbook. Nice.
Note: now we’re long after launch, finding this edition is increasingly difficult, and prices are wildly varying when it does crop up. The below links go to the right pages though.

The pick of the Ghost of Tsushima edition bunch is definitely the Collector’s Edition. This features an already-iconic mask that’s a replica of the in-game item. It comes on an individually numbered stand so you know it’s yours alone. As well as that headline act, you’ll get a sashimono (war banner) that’s nearly four and half feet long, and a traditional-style furoshiki (wrapping cloth). You’ll also get a copy of the game with the steelbook case, a physical 48-page mini art book, and a full-world, printed-on-cloth map. This consists of a digital copy of the art book, the director’s commentary, the Charm of Hachiman’s Favor, a Samurai PS4 theme, and the Hero of Tsushima skin set. That. Is a lot of goodies. Note: stock is fluctuating wildly of this edition, too, so you’ll have to act fast, be patient, both, or be very lucky – the link below will get you to where you need to be nonetheless, however.

]]>The post Deathloop pre-order guide: travel to Blackreef as soon as possible appeared first on Game News.
]]>Deathloop is going to be a PS5 and PC exclusive – albeit a timed one – so players on those platforms can act now and nail down their Deathloop pre-order. If you’re like me and are planning to double up on big game pre-orders that month, I believe that picking up both a Mass Effect Legendary Edition pre-order as well as a Deathloop pre-order means – I think – that you have to play all of the former before the latter in *checks notes* a week. Them’s the rules.
Deathloop on PS5 certainly looks like a very interesting prospect though, and that’s due to it being able to harness all the power and opportunities the PS5 presents. The controller is undoubtedly a key part of this. For example, we know that weapons will jam and you’ll feel them in the DualSense, particular if you have early, limited weapons; you’ll feel distinct nuances in recoil and reloading animations that vary from weapon to weapon; and you’ll feel the movement’s of Colt translated through the DualSense, down to the feel of each different surface your traversing.
Overall, however, the game looks like an absolute treat once again from Arkane. There’s the immersive sim-flavoured setting and story, draped in a retro 60s-inspired aesthetic, a mix of supernatural powers as well as cool weapon mechanics, and some intriguing characters and targets to boot. We can’t wait to place our Deathloop pre-order and neither should you. Here’s the lowdown on how to preorder Deathloop and what’s occurring with each edition available.

There are only two editions of the game on offer, which should make a Deathloop pre-order relatively easy. Picking between the Standard and Deluxe versions of the game shouldn’t make you lose too much sleep.
Whatever version you choose you do get the following pre-order bonuses:

The Standard Edition of Deathloop is pretty modest, offering just the game itself. That said, Deathloop feels like it’s going to be one of the games of the year already so you’ll still get much bang for buck – plus those pre-order bonuses mentioned above. Here’s what prices are looking like right now:
US Deathloop Standard Edition prices
PS5 | Amazon (opens in new tab) – $59.99 | Best Buy (inc. free steelbook) (opens in new tab) – $59.99

The Deathloop Deluxe Edition has a little more on offer than its Standard Edition counterpart. As well as the aforementioned pre-order prices, you get the following goodies for a Deathloop pre-order in the form of the Deluxe Edition:

PS5 | Amazon (opens in new tab) – $79.99 | Best Buy (inc. free steelbook) (opens in new tab) – $79.99

Given that Deathloop is currently exclusive to PS5 and PC, it’s not too hard to make sure you’ll be playing in the best place possible, but if you haven’t picked up your PS5 yet, check out our where to buy a PS5 guide to see if there’s any remaining stock. If PC gaming is more your territory then one of the best gaming laptops or best gaming PCs will be worth a look.
And after the systems themselves, it’ll be worth making sure your entire setup will be up-to-scratch. For seeing better, why not try one of the best gaming monitors or best gaming TVs – specifically the best TV for PS5 for console players. And to immerse yourself further, it’ll be wise to make sure you’ve got enough of the PS5 accessories, one of the best PS5 headsets, or one of the best PC headsets for gaming.
There are loads of great games that will be available on PS5, whether already available via PS4 and backwards compatibility, or coming out in the new console’s launch window. If you’re hoping to check out some more of the best that Sony’s first- and third-party studios have to offer, look no further than the pages below:

]]>The post How to pre-order Dirt 5: fly off the starting line with the best price and edition appeared first on Game News.
]]>Dirt 5 is both an Xbox Series X launch game and a PS5 launch game, meaning it appeared with both consoles on their respective releases dates last month: November 10 for the Xbox Series X and November 12 for the PS5. Though if you were eager to play it as soon as you could, the Dirt 5 release date for current-gen consoles was November 6, meaning that the game is already available if you’re playing on a PS4 or Xbox One. If that’s you, remember that you’ll be able to upgrade your copy to a next-gen version for free, just as soon as you’ve bagged your Xbox Series X deal or PS5 bundle.
Dirt 5 developers Codemasters has been working on the series for years, and are the team behind some of the best racing games you can play right now. For the latest game, however, the company has certainly pulled out all the stops: Dirt 5 expands its definition of off-road racing to include ice-racing, dynamic seasons, and stadiums filled with Super Trucks. It’s also boasting some serious talent, with the Uncharted series’ Troy Baker and Nolan North lending their voice to career mode.
There are two versions of Dirt 5 available to buy. The Dirt 5 Launch Edition grants access to all the high-octane action of the full game, with every track and a whole fleet of cars on offer. On top of that, the souped-up Dirt 5 Amplified Edition will grant players access to every post-launch addition to the game, as well as three exclusive vehicles, three exclusive player sponsors, and currency and XP boosts to help put you in pole position.
This is the most simple version of the game, but there’s still plenty of Codemasters magic in there. When it comes to Dirt 5 prices, as well as the Ford F-150 Raptor PreRunner that’s available to anyone who buys the game early, Amazon has its own limited edition available. Buy from the online marketplace across any console, and you’ll also be able to pick up the extremely colourful Porsche Macan T1 Rally Raid, to make sure you beat your opponents and look good doing it.

As well as the base game, you’ll have access to three exclusive cars, three exclusive sponsors, every post-launch addition that Codemasters introduces, and currency and XP boosts that should have you flying off the starting line. It’s digital-only, however, meaning you won’t be able to pick it up at retail, and it doesn’t appear that the PS5 version is available yet.

The best way to play Dirt 5 is likely going to be on next-gen consoles, as, while it’ll run very nicely on the PS4 or Xbox One, the fact it’s been made with the PS5 and Xbox Series X in mind means it’ll look its best on the new hardware. Alternatively, check out our best gaming PCs, as new graphics cards will also have your Dirt 5 deal transformed into something fantastic looking.
Whether you’re opting for a PC or a console, you’ll want to ensure you’ve got the best accessories possible, so look for the best racing wheels out there, or the best PS4 controllers and best Xbox One controllers if you’re not ready to take the plunge on a full simulation.
Whether you’re going all in on the real deal or not, you’ll want to make sure that you can feel as close to the road as possible, so check out some of the best gaming TVs and best gaming monitors, as well as the best gaming headsets or best gaming sound systems to help bring Dirt 5’s tracks to life.
That might sound like a reasonable amount of extra kit, but given the ultra-realism that some of Codemasters’ racing games can offer, investing in the full experience can let you play the game at a whole new level.
Racing games are great, but if you’re looking to expand your next-gen pallet a little, check out some of the other major games that have either come out this year, or are getting ready to release in the Xbox Series X and PS5 launch windows:

]]>The post Marvels Avengers price guide: get the best deal for PS4, Xbox One, and PC appeared first on Game News.
]]>For some context and looking back, it was way, way back, when MODOK was revealed as the main villain (opens in new tab), and, incredibly importantly the game was revealed to be a next-gen launch title (opens in new tab), and anyone who purchases it for the current-gen will receive a free upgrade for the PS5 or Xbox Series X – the former of which will have different settings for visual or framerate upgrades (opens in new tab). You can soak up loads more information in an interview we had with the development team (opens in new tab).
Anyway, there’s plenty of time for further reading later on after you’ve done the most important thing and found the best Marvel’s Avengers price for you, wherever you are. There are three main versions of the game, each with varying bonuses that you’ll find out more on below. Earth’s Mightiest is the mother of all versions available to get; Deluxe is a quality middle-ground offering, and the Standard version is the simplest one going.

The usual retailers are all listing their own Marvel’s Avengers prices and deals and you can, on the whole, just visit your usual one to find the right copy for you. Be aware that retailers, on both sides of the Atlantic, have got a few exclusives and special things that only they are throwing in so be on the lookout for what else you might be able to get for your money.

(opens in new tab)
Go big with the most bombastic version of Marvel’s Avengers. The Earth’s Mightiest Edition gets you a whole treasure trove of goodies, as well as the Deluxe Edition and Steel Book case: a Hulk Bobblehead; Mjolnir key chain; Black Widow’s belt buckle; Iron Man’s Prototype Armor blueprints; Kamala Khan’s Honorary Avenger Pin and a Commemorative Avengers group photo. This is by far the best version for physical media lovers as it will get you a whole host of goodies that are tangible as well as bagging you the digital stuff as well.

Inhabiting the middle of the Marvel’s Avengers price range, the Deluxe Edition will get you the Obsidian outfit pack, and an Obsidian nameplate pack, the steel book, and 1-month free Marvel Unlimited.

Going for the standard edition of Marvel’s Avengers the game will get you the most stripped back version of the game. This is certainly the edition of the game where we have seen a bunch of variations from retailer to retailer. Some are trying to offer their own throw-ins to make it an ‘exclusive’, so follow the links below but also be aware of what each seller is offering.

Alongside the game itself, there’s a very good art book. Such is the way with modern games, these books are filled with excellent lore, background info, and development process insight to help flesh out what one can experience from the game itself. And for physical media lovers like me, this is good news! We’ve rounded up an even wider selection in our guide to the best gaming books (opens in new tab) too.
There is no doubt that the very best way to play Marvel’s Avengers is going to be with an enhanced gaming setup, one that’s as optimized as is possible for you to obtain. This means, at the very least, eyeing up one of the best PS4 Pro deals (opens in new tab) or the best Xbox One X deals (opens in new tab) available to ensure you have the top console model of your choice.
Alternatively, consider one of the best PC gaming machines in the shape of the best gaming PCs (opens in new tab) or best gaming laptops (opens in new tab) to make sure you get the most out of the detail, textures, and fidelity of modern games’ audio profiles. You’ll also need to see the details of the world perfectly too with one of the best gaming monitors (opens in new tab) or best gaming TVs (opens in new tab).
And finally, ensure you have a gaming sound system (opens in new tab) to recreate the film series’ famous cinematic audio in your living or gaming room for the game itself or go for one of the best PS4 headsets (opens in new tab), best Xbox headsets (opens in new tab), or one of the best PC headsets for gaming (opens in new tab).
It’s a fair bit of kit to potentially consider but if you get any combination of these great quality items and your experience of the game will only be nearer the best it can be.
There are a few incredibly exciting upcoming titles available for pre-order right now, as well as some recently released behemoths, so if you’re on the hunt for more deals and best prices these select pages will help you to do so:

]]>The post Get the best Outer Worlds price going: the cheapest deals on Obsidians latest game appeared first on Game News.
]]>If you’re still unsure whether you should the game a go, then consider giving Alex’s The Outer Worlds review (opens in new tab) a read over – spoilers, he liked it and it’ll get you excited for it, 100 percent. But, in brief, The Outer Worlds is a story-driven role-playing game from the team behind Fallout: New Vegas and Pillars of Eternity. Set in a distant future where corporations rule everything, you play the role of ‘The Stranger’: an unlucky colonist who was lost in transit on their way to a new life. It’s all about choices and the consequences of them – Obsidian confirmed before release that every NPC in The Outer Worlds can permanently die (opens in new tab), for example. SO, all this makes The Outer Worlds perfect if you’re a fan of franchises like Fallout or The Elder Scrolls.
If you want to actually see what it’s like then check out 20 minutes of raw The Outer Worlds gameplay footage (opens in new tab) from the Tokyo Game Show last year. And if that convinces you to fork out for the best Outer Worlds price currently going then you can also take solace in the fact that Microsoft believes The Outer Worlds will be “an enduring franchise”, hinting at a sequel (opens in new tab) already.
It’s very much worth noting that while it is indeed out for most platforms, it isn’t quite there yet for Nintendo Switch players – you guys have to wait a little longer ahead of its June 5th, 2020, release date. However, you’ll still find the latest and greatest Outer Worlds pre-order prices below for Switch to get ahead of the game and nail your copy down with.
Rather unusually, but in an excellent, refreshing kind of way, The Outer Worlds is not a game of many different editions. There’s no extra fuss here: no super mega huge collector’s editions with statues or special editions with digital-only bonuses, just the game, for the best price, on your platform of choice.
Undoubtedly, you’ll want to optimize your gaming setup to get the best out of your The Outer Worlds deal. If you’re a console gamer, then we’d recommend you check out upgrading to the top models of the major consoles available with either one of the best PS4 Pro deals (opens in new tab) or one of the best Xbox One X deals (opens in new tab) going. If PC is your gaming haven, then consider boosting your setup with one of the best gaming PCs (opens in new tab) or best gaming laptops (opens in new tab) to immerse you in the glories that The Outer Worlds will bring to your eyes. And with the advent of a Nintendo Switch release date, you should definitely check out the best Nintendo Switch bundles (opens in new tab) going too – though Switch stock is pretty hard to come by nowadays, we’ll tell you that for free.
Speaking of being immersed in The Outer Worlds’ environments and lands, make sure you see it as crisply and beautifully as possible with one of the best gaming monitors (opens in new tab) or best gaming TVs (opens in new tab). These will give you the best means to enjoy every detail but also smooth out your gameplay too. Finally, ensure you have a solid gaming sound system (opens in new tab) or go for one of the best PS4 headsets (opens in new tab), best Xbox headsets (opens in new tab) or one of the best PC headsets for gaming (opens in new tab).
It does seem like a massive undertaking, and of course no one can upgrade all of this at once, but if you can upgrade or optimize any of your setup in these areas, you’ll have an even better time with The Outer Worlds.
From recent big-hitters that are out in the wild, to the biggest games yet to be released that you can pre-order right now, there are several pages which will serve you well if you’re looking for the best price and the right version of games for you:

]]>In essence, however, the new game takes us to a customisable, deserted island this time around and tasks players with building a relentlessly cheerful little society on it, presumably so Tom Nook can foist another crippling mortgage on us. But at least the best Animal Crossing price you can get will mean you’re jumping in and saving a few currencies at the same time. Hopefully.
To give you a better idea of what’s on offer now it’s released and where you can get the best Animal Crossing New Horizons price and deals, our team and magical price finding tech had rounded up all the info you need right here. This will give you a better idea of what’s available as retailers wherever you are. It doesn’t stop at just the game though, as there’s Special Edition Switch (opens in new tab) going too, and, amazingly, it is still available at some retailers. Though, given its delectable tweeness, we are unsure how long it’ll be before that sells out. But there’s always hope!
Meanwhile, be sure to check out our Animal Crossing: New Horizons (opens in new tab) guide for full details on gameplay to feed your hype one last time.

Well, this is easy. As there’s only one version of the game available, let’s call it the Standard Edition, below you’ll find the best prices for said edition. But hey, it’s still crammed full of all the bug/fish/fossil-hunting goodness you could need so it’s still going to be a great addition to your game library.

This is great news for Animal Crossing fans – and Switch newcomers, of course – as you can not only get the game via the above links but also bag yourself an awesome Animal Crossing design Switch console. It’s described by Nintendo as having “…lovely pastel green and blue Joy-Con controllers that are white on the back, white wrist straps and a white Nintendo Switch dock, adorned with images of recognizable characters Tom Nook and Nooklings Timmy and Tommy.”
This is hot stuff – but as a result, it’s really hard to get hold of. It’s US list price is around $300 and then £320 in the UK – but you’ll be very lucky to find one at that price right now.

To get the most out of your Animal Crossing game, you’ll want to aim for a Nintendo Switch setup that’s as optimized as possible. Starting simply, that means examining what the best Nintendo Switch bundles (opens in new tab) going offer you. Elsewhere, you’ll probably want to see what your options are for getting a cheap Nintendo Switch controller (opens in new tab) if you want a more traditional Pro Controller to play Animal Crossing with, not to mention raiding retailers for some of the best Nintendo Switch accessories (opens in new tab). One of the accessories that you should definitely invest in is a Nintendo Switch SD card (opens in new tab) for general use, as well as the fact that the Switch only comes with the alarmingly low 32GB of memory as standard. To complete the package, protect your Switch with the best case for Nintendo Switch (opens in new tab) and then plug in one of the best Nintendo Switch headsets (opens in new tab) to have your Animal Crossing game fully serviced and optimized.
A lot to consider perhaps, particularly given Nintendo gear holds its price quite stubbornly. However, if you’re able to upgrade your Switch setup in any of these departments, then you’ll be off to a blinder.
While Animal Crossing has now been released, there are still some great big games yet to be released this year. If you’re looking to pre-order another big one and get it in the bag, then these select pages will help you to do so:
