]]>The game puts you in the role of Shelia – there just aren’t enough Sheila’s in video games these days – a member of the Supernatural Science Research Organisation. She’ll face wormholes, ancient samurai, and time travel, with combat that drew a comparison to “a first-person Devil May Cry” from our writer Josh West back in 2020.
“The gameplay of Bright Memory: Infinite is the sort of FPS-action type game that you can run through at high speed and pull off flashy combos and stuff,” developer Zeng Xiancheng told us then.
“It features more and more hardcore enemies as you progress through the later stages. Players can use a sword to destroy enemy armor and then use guns to do real damage and take them down – different skills must be used against different enemies for the best results.”
Bright Memory: Infinite was released on PC in 2021, but soon console players will have the chance to join in the fun. It’ll be released on Xbox Series X and S, PS5, and Nintendo Switch sometime in the future. If you can’t wait that long, you can always grab Bright Memory: Infinite on Steam now.
Just know that you’ll be missing out on the 2022 upgrades like support for a high frame rate mode for up to a maximum of 120 FPS, while the DXR version features a Raytracing Reflection 60 FPS mode. The PS5 version adds adaptive triggers, the Xbox versions have all-new in-game character skins, and on Switch, you’ll get gyro controls.
The Xbox Series X version comes with all-new in-game character skins, while the PS5 version features adaptive trigger support. On the other hand, the Switch version supports gyro controls and also adds multi-sampling of TAA anti-aliasing.

With a wide range of weapons and stances to master in local and online multiplayer, not to mention a host of customization features to make your fighter your own, Die by the Blade looks like one of those games that’ll truly put your reactions to the test.
Die by the Blade is set to launch on PC (Steam and the Epic Games Store), PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One in 2022. ]]>The pair, best known as destined lovers Geralt of Rivia and Yennefer of Vengerberg in CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, will be guiding viewers through this year’s summer show, which is set to take place on June 11 at 12:00 PDT / 15:00 EDT / 20:00 BST.
Doug and Denise will be showing off more than 40 upcoming games in the next Future Games Show, releasing across all major platforms, including games from the likes of Team 17 and Amanita Design. All in all, you’ll get to check out seven world premiers, more than two dozen exclusive trailers, and the return of the show’s Virtual Show Floor, offering playable demos for some of the most exciting games set to launch this year.
Doug, who has lent his vocal talents to a number of other games via Witcher-themed crossovers in the case of titles like Soul Caliber 6 and Monster Hunter World and in entirely new roles in games including Smite and former Future Games Show attendee Tails of Iron, says “the Future Games Show is the place to come if you want to find out what to play this year. Denise and I will take you on a journey through a hand-picked selection of the most interesting titles chosen by our friends at GamesRadar+. Don’t miss it.”

]]>Developed by Dutch developers KeokeN Interactive and Frontier Foundry, Deliver Us Mars is the sequel to 2019’s crowdfunded debut Deliver Us the Moon. That game took players to the lunar surface in a last-ditch attempt to save humanity, with the series set around an Earth that has entirely depleted its natural resources, forcing humankind to explore further afield.
Set 10 years after Deliver Us the Moon, Deliver Us Mars maintains the sci-fi puzzle adventure vibes of its predecessor, but promises a significant step forward when it comes to both narrative and gameplay.
The teaser trailer opens up in the aftermath of a crash-landing, offering a short glimpse of the game’s new protagonist. Uncovering and rebooting her companion drone – returning from Deliver Us the Moon – the character steps out onto the red planet. While fans of the original game will appreciate the connections drawn with its successor, Deliver Us Mars also works as a standalone title for brand-new players to enjoy. The series takes a grounded approach to sci-fi storytelling while creating tense and emotional narrative beats.
There’s no release date for Deliver Us Mars just yet, but it’s set to launch on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One, as well as PS5, PS4, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store – you can add the game to your wishlist (opens in new tab) on both PC storefronts right now. ]]>As seen during the Future Games Show, this is your chance to join the Mythbusters team and get the complete experience, which means you’ll have to carefully manage your stock of materials to construct the required props. Other equipment will need to be purchased without going over budget, so keep an eye on your bank balance and spend wisely.
The building itself takes place through a series of intuitive mini games, so whether you’re cutting up planks of wood, assembling boards into a human-sized cutout, or casually removing a grenade fuse, there’s a variety of ways to keep busy.
Next comes the really fun part, where you get to take everything you’ve built to the testing ground and actually conduct your outlandish experiments. Use the blueprints to set up your equipment, carry out tests to see what happens, then decide if you can conclusively Confirm or Bust the myth, or whether it’s merely Plausible.
With your experiments completed, it’s on to the video editing module to decide which sections to use as you cut the show together. Balance your production budget against your audience popularity, and you could have another hit episode on your hands.

]]>Debuting its latest trailer at the Future Games Show, Forever Skies is a first-person action survival game, where you’re returning to Earth what seems like many decades after a devastating ecological disaster. There are secrets to discover as you try to figure out what happened all those years ago.
You’ll be flying in on your high-tech airship to survey what has been left behind – think crumbling skyscrapers poking through clouds. These are the ruins of what was built up to escape the dust below, where you’ll also explore to discover how things have changes and adapted. There is also now debris caused by a strange anomaly that you’ll be able to use to help you survive.
A lot of what you’ll be doing is also building up, expanding and further customising your airshop. This is your home, your workshop, your lab, and more and is utterly essential to your survival. Over time, you’ll make your airship uniquely yours – and not only by the patchwork you’ll need to do to keep the hull intact.
It’ll also be your mode of transport as you explore the ruins of the Earth that came before.
Forever Skies is in development by Far From Home, which is a team that’s based in Wroclaw Poland and made up of industry veterans that have worked on titles such as Dying Light, Divinity Original Sin, The Medium, Outriders, League of Legends and more.
It’s dropping on PC via Steam sometime in 2022, and is also being developed for Xbox Series X and PS5 for a later launch. You can wishlist it on Steam right here (opens in new tab).

]]>Shown as part of the Future Games Show in our Virtual Show Floor (reserved for games with live Steam demos) the game revolves around The Church of the Holy Lizard’s misguided scheme to make humanity confront the impending climate catastrophe… by releasing a giant monster! Naturally this backfires immediately, so your role as said beast is to cause as much mayhem and terror as possible.
There are four different monsters to choose from including the eponymous Hemasaurus, with each having their own special abilities and moves. What’s more, if you have friends round you can work together to take the town apart with up to four player local co-op.

At first the gameplay will seem familiar to those who remember the arcade classic Rampage, but Terror of Hemasaurus stands apart from that with the addition of physics. Tower blocks collapse sideways when damaged enough, falling into other buildings to cause a destructive domino effect while flames and explosions tear through the structures.
To add to the carnage, there are many inventive ways you can dispatch the unfortunate citizens running around the city – chomp them down, punt cars at them, slam them with your butt, fling them into helicopter blades… the possibilities are endless.
Terror of Hemasaurus is smashing onto the scene later in Q2 / Q3 2022 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, and you can wishlist it on Steam right now (opens in new tab) for further updates. ]]>You’ll come back to specific postrooms at different points throughout the game, and to keep things feeling fresh they’ll have changed in some way. In the above trailer you can see how the autumnal version of the same level adds more complexity to your letter writing, and then later again in the winter you’ll have to deal with keeping your kiwis warm with a single lantern. There are also supernatural events and weather to deal with too.
KeyWeThe first game from the US developer Stonewheat & Sons, KeyWe is a co-op postal puzzler with you play as two industrious Kiwi birds, named Jeff and Debra, working at the bustling Bungalow Basin Telepost office. Their job? It’s everything from typing telegrams to packing shipping crates, as well as helping your Octopus co-worker sort the mail. You can hop, smack, peck, and dive-bomb your way through this cute and casual game – and dress up your Kiwi along the way. Master KeyWe’s mailroom mayhem with a friend in local or online co-op, or venture out on your own to make sure the mail runs smoothly.
KeyWe’s Telegram levels seem like a particularly fun challenge, as the words come across the wire out of order and you must both figure out the message from the jumbled wods, but also move, cut, and place those words in proper order so the message is revealed before it’s shipped off to its intended recipient.
The different mailrooms of KeyWe offer a series of Rube Goldberg-esque levels to play through, with various bells, whistles, buttons, conveyor belts, and more to navigate to make sure the mail gets on the Cassowary bids to runs on time. If that wasn’t enough, adverse weather can also come into play with everything from sandstorms to blizzards, and even the rare chance of paranormal activity or carnivorous plants (they don’t teach that in Weatherman school).
KeyWe also has a variety of overtime mini-games including testing out the post office’s bubble-wrap supply, snowball fights with your animal co-workers, and feeding those Cassowaries so they’ll deliver the mail you’ve processed.

On her adventure she’ll use her special tool – the Omni Switch – to repair what she can and interact with the environment and the mysterious hidden engines of the giants. Prepare to deal with giant garden eels, Batmoths, and drunken lighthouse keepers as you navigate between the islands of the archipelago, and explore its beaches, caves, and cliffs.
The sneak peek we got at Future Games Show revealed a world packed with characters and corners that will send your curiosity into overdrive, and all wrapped up in a visual style that will make it impossible not to want to explore every inch of it. Actress Megan Gay lends her voice to the game, and that distinctive soundtrack comes courtesy of composer Thomas Höhl and Sound Spores, who also created the music for games like HighRise and She Remembered Caterpillars.

]]>Set in a sleek, colourful, and deadly world, Severed Steel puts you in the shoes of Steel, a one-armed sharpshooter making their way through a building full of enemies packing some serious firepower. Fortunately, you’ll have speed on your side, as Severed Steel lets you sprint, slide, and flip your way through each mission, chaining together kills each worthy of their very own action movies, all while indulging in some glorious bullet-time.
The game’s trailer really makes the most of Steel’s sense of style, showing off some truly elegant gunplay to the tune of Tchaikovsky’s iconic Waltz from Swan Lake. The fast-paced gameplay is reminiscent of the excellent Superhot, as players flit around levels, grabbing their fallen enemies’ guns as they arc through the air before using them to pick off any survivors. There’s also a closer look at the voxel-based art style, the foot-based melee combat that Steel can use to keep combos going in a pinch, and even the game’s fully-destructible environment. With the right gun in your hand, even a wall of concrete won’t keep your opponents safe.
Despite the trailer’s classical sensibilities, Severed Steel keeps the action intense with a punchy electronic soundtrack and dynamic AI which will see your enemies work together to attempt to take you down, reacting differently to each new approach you take and ensuring that no two battles play out in the same way.
A demo for Severed Steel has already featured in the Digital Dragons Indie Celebration that took to Steam earlier this year, but if you missed it back then, you get another chance to check it out, as a demo is available right now. To give it a try, simply head to the game’s Steam page (opens in new tab), where you can also add it to your wishlist to receive updates ahead of release. Developer Greylock Studio hasn’t revealed an exact release date just yet, but says that Severed Steel is coming soon. FPS fans won’t want to miss this one.
