What do you want to leave behind for those who roam the post-nuclear wasteland to find as they rummage through your home or workspace? If you answered “2-inch tall miniature figurines of Fallout (opens in new tab) characters,” congratulations! You’re exactly the type of person and/or irradiated ghoul that might be interested in Funko’s upcoming line (opens in new tab) of Fallout Mystery Minis representing characters and perks from the Fallout games.

There will be 12 figures when the series launches this fall, and all of them are sold blind, meaning you won’t know which one you’ve gotten until you open up the package. The good news is that the toys are being manufactured equally so that no one figure is more rare than the other, so you stand equal chances of getting any of them at a given time. The full lineup (opens in new tab) consists of Supermutant, Tunnel Snake, Ghoul, Raider, Power Armor, Male Vault Dweller, Mysterious Stranger, Black Widow, Nerd Rage!, Wired Reflexes, Grim Reaper’s Sprint and Cyborg.

DC Comics are planning a massive change in direction for their roster of superhero titles this summer. In an attempt to diversify and appeal to a broader audience, the existing New 52 canon will undergo a rebranding.

As of June 3rd the ‘New 52’ tag will be scrapped to pave the way for a more accessible range of comic lines. DC’s new superhero landscape will consist of 24 brand new titles, all beginning at #1, along with 25 previously-existing comics that will continue without a break in numbering.

“This heralds in a new era for the DC Universe which will allow us to publish something for everyone, be more expansive and modern in our approach and tell stories that better reflect the society around us,” said DC Entertainment Co-Publisher Dan DiDio in a press release. “Whether you’ve been a DC fan your whole life, or whether you are new to comics – there will be a book for you beginning in June.”

The end of April and May will see the comic book publisher wrap up several story lines in one giant event, Convergence. This will pave the way for the relaunch.

“Beyond character and creators, the June slate will showcase different styles and approaches to storytelling as we add offbeat, irreverently funny titles such as Bizarro, Bat-Mite and Prez,” said Co-Publisher Jim Lee. “Truly there will be something for everybody as we simultaneously celebrate our rich legacy while embracing new voices and concepts.”

You can check out the list of new titles and the fan favorites slated to continue below:

One of the things that fans of Bayonetta love the most about the series is the cheeky nods to Japanese animation tropes and style. Given that background, it was only a matter of time before the Umbran witch got an anime all her own. Released in Japan some months ago, Bayonetta: Bloody Fate (opens in new tab) sees release in the US just in time for the launch of Bayonetta 2. Meanwhile, the UK will have to wait a few more weeks to see it for themselves. But what’s so special about Bloody Fate?

Well, there’s the fact that the film already has really strong import reviews, which praise how it’s very true to the series and how great the events of the first game look when animated. Then there’s the fact that the game’s English voice cast reprises their roles in the anime, making the release even more true to form. You can see the results for yourself in the extended (NSFW-ish) trailer below:

If you simply can’t get enough of the this angel asskicker, or you want a quick refresher on the events of the first game before playing the sequel, then you’ll want this Blu-ray ASAP. Now, flock off, feather-face.

I’m going to tell you all about this awesome-looking Kickstarter game–but first, let me take a voracious bite out of this raw yellow bell pepper, then stare directly into your eyes with an unflinching grin. As we all know, Iron Chef is the supreme televised cooking competition, because 1) it’s the original and 2) it hails from Japan. But you know what would make Iron Chef even more amazing? A dash of anime fantasy, blitzed with some 2D platforming, topped with a light glaze of magical cooking minigames… and voila! You’ve just made a video game dish like no other: Battle Chef Brigade.

As one of several sorcerous chefs, you’re tasked with impressing a panel of celebrity judges (be they orc, elf, or human). But acquiring ingredients isn’t as simple as a hop to a well-stocked pantry–you’ve got to go out there and gather for yourself. Battle Chef Brigade looks like it’ll combine so many awesome gaming experiences: the frantic chaos of overseeing multiple dishes at a time, the intensity of battle as you put down animals for meat, and the whimsy of a world where you cook using fireballs instead of frying pans.

First things first (I’m the realest): check out the Battle Chef Brigade Kickstarter page, then back the game if you’re so inclined (it’s already hit its funding goal, so everything else you contribute is just gravy). You’ll probably still be all jazzed about magical cooking after that, so to help channel your passion for fantastical dishes, go read/watch a bunch of Toriko. It’s still on my to-do list–but from what I hear, it’s got enough monster-hunting, cuisine-revolutionizing action to tide you over for the long wait till Battle Chef Brigade’s release in 2016.

One of the worst aspects of any MOBA–League of Legends, Dota 2, or what have you–are long, drawn-out stalemates. The average game usually takes 25-40 minutes, but when a game goes back and forth, with neither team able to gain any discernible advantage, the stress and frustration is almost unbearable (to me, anyway).

Even worse are the times when you’re stuck with argumentative, absent, or just plain bad teammates, knowing that you are now doomed to spend the entirety of the match wishing you could just skip ahead to the next one. You know what solves these problems entirely? Making the rounds way, way shorter. Like, 15 minutes on average. Enter TOME: Immortal Arena, my latest MOBA addiction that gives me exactly what I want from the genre after one too hours wasted in agonizing standoffs.

Laugh at me if you must, but I’m hooked on this browser-based, free-to-play MOBA, two descriptors which usually make gamers run for the hills. But to my surprise, the Unity-engine graphics in TOME are well on par with most standalone clients. In fact, the production values are impressive all around, with unique champion (excuse me, Guardian) designs and Bruce freaking Campbell (of Evil Dead fame) calling out kills as the announcer.

With TOME, it’s non-stop 3v3 action immediately out of the gate. It accomplishes this breakneck pace by breaking tons of conventional MOBA rules: you can heal and buy items in lane, you start with three of your four abilities and none of them have mana costs, there is no last hitting of any kind, and minions spawn five seconds after the game starts. All of these tweaks completely cut out the fat from typical MOBA gameplay–and to me, this is the leaner, more fun take on the genre that I’ve been craving after years of the same-old. Give it a try right here in your browser, and add me in-game (Ljrepresent) if you want to get some matches in!
