While Guardians were busy in the Raid, Doctor Bray was busy researching. She’s completed decrypting Clovis Bray I’s journal and has news for you. To achieve your next level of power you need to empower the Skeleton Key with Stasis one more time then bring it to the Giant Exo Head in the Creation section of Bray Exoscience on Europa. The first step is to get 50 Stasis final blows on Europa. The fastest way is to pick your favorite Lost Sector (Perdition is the easiest to farm) and go nuts. If you’re not a Lost Sector goblin then Heroic Public Events provide the best progress.

Nightfall strikes aren’t too difficult and their selectable difficulties go from 1180, 1220, 1250, 1280, and 1300 (available on December 22) so just pick the 1180 variant and power through. Lowest level Nightfalls have matchmaking so don’t worry if you’re doing this quest solo.

Travel to Creation to rid the laboratory of the House of Salvation platoon. Travel to Charon’s Crossing and head left on your sparrow towards Bray Exoscience. Once inside, head to the smaller lab on the right side of the larger hall. Path into the second of the two enclosed rooms and you’ll find a door on your right. Go through the door, take a right, and go through the new area (take your time to sightsee) full of moving parts and tons of Eliksni. You’ll come across a room with a massive rail system on your right (a lot of rights on this part) with Shanks and Dregs in your way. Drop down from the high ground and on your immediate left sits Feltraks, Salvation Elite. Relieve the Captain of his duties and clear up any additional enemies until you get the next steps.

Continue deeper into Creation to find Elsie Bray. To your purpose (I hope) Ana Bray will be there as well. Interact with the Giant Exo head to use the Skeleton Key and hang out with the family reunion while Elise, Ana, and Clovis Bray talk a bit about this new power you’re getting. Bray Security Frames patrol the room ignorant to personal space so they’ll walk around a lot (in your face) brandishing rocket launchers and make the scene more awkward than necessary.
The Exo Stranger will walk away, saying you should meet her when she’s ready. Since this isn’t your first Exo rodeo, you can immediately travel to Beyond and speak with her. Elsie will give you the quest, Aspect of Darkness, to finally unlock your second aspect.

If you followed our guide on the Destiny 2 Beyond Light Entropic Shards guide, you’ll have this step auto-complete. If not you’ll need to find and destroy the six Shards not already removed from your previous quests. Here’s a quick recap of the locations for each Shard. Salvation’s Grip, the exotic grenade launcher is the only way to destroy these Shards and advance your quest. Please obtain it by speaking to the Drifter before proceeding.

You’re in the final stretch. Go to the Crux of Darkness in Riis-Reborn Approach and make your way to the Shard. Commune with the Shard of Darkness, decimate the room, and commune one last time to get your new aspect.

]]>The post Assassin’s Creed Valhalla settlement guide: Every Ravensthorpe building explained appeared first on Game News.
]]>The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla settlement of Ravensthorpe starts off small. You’ll only have a longhouse and little else so you’ll have to go out into the world of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to find Supplies and Raw Materials. While Supplies can be found in various locations in chests, Raw Materials come exclusively from Raids so you’ll need to make sure you’re constantly steering your longship towards monasteries to keep your resources topped up.
Find some more of our Assassin’s Creed Valhalla guides here:

Remember, if you encounter a Raid and you’re on foot, all you need to do is select the crossed axes on your radial – raid-ial..? – menu and your longship crew will join you. Just make sure you find every chest, indicated by a gold barrel logo on your compass. You’ll know it’s all done when the music calms down and you get a ‘Raid complete’ message on screen.
Your settlement has a few upgrades that will arrive as the story progresses and goes through six levels. There are also plenty of story evolutions too as you invest so the benefits aren’t exclusively in game rewards. If you’re ever in any doubt as to what has appeared, there’s information in Eivor’s room in the longhouse and you can always send up your raven to see which tents are available for upgrade.
And you don’t even need to go back to the sign outside to find out how many resources you need. Hover over it with your raven in stationary mode and you’ll find out how much you need to spend. Other than a couple of essential builds at the very beginning, the choice of where to upgrade first is very much up to you. Here’s our guide to each building to make sure you’re making the most from your hard earned Raid resources.
For everything outside of Ravensthorpe, we have some more Assassin’s Creed Valhalla guides for you to take a look at:
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla review | Assassin’s Creed Valhalla tips | Assassin’s Creed Valhalla length | Assassin’s Creed Valhalla silver | How to earn XP in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla | Assassin’s Creed Valhalla carbon ingots | Assassin’s Creed Valhalla resources | Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Orlog guide | Assassin’s Creed Valhalla opal | Assassin’s Creed Valhalla arrows | Assassin’s Creed Valhalla legendary animals | Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Gorm

Gunnar’s forge is the first building you’ll upgrade as part of your growing settlement so there’s no avoiding constructing the Blacksmiths. Gunnar can upgrade your gear from regular to Superior, then up to Flawless and Mythical. Each level has miniature levels that you can improve with your own resources, but in order to reach Flawless, you’ll need nickel ingots and to get to Mythical, tungsten ingots are required. Later in the game, you’ll start finding these in chests across the world and the regular carbon ingots will become available at merchants.

Again another unavoidable upgrade, Hytham’s Hidden Ones Bureau is an essential purchase to make sure you can go and slaughter the members of the Order of the Ancients across Mercia. Plus, once you’ve built it, a mini quest will pop up where Hytham will teach you the Leap of Faith. Now you don’t need to clamber down from high points like some kind of Muggle wearing a hidden blade… Hytham does pop up in the campaign but keep bringing him the medallions of the Order of the Ancients and he’ll give you new abilities and upgrades to your existing ones so remember to keep going back to hand in your spoils.

Run by Eydis, the barracks will let you create your own Jomsviking who’ll not only come with you on Raids but also crop up in other people’s games. If they hire them, you’ll get silver so keep checking in. This is also where you can organise your Raiding crew so if you’ve just added a new settlement member during the campaign, you can make sure they join you when you are out and about. This is also where you’ll find an Orlog table if you just can’t get enough of those dice and God Favors.

Another vital one here, you’ll want Yanli’s trading post to keep selling all your trinkets for silver and to buy all manner of tattoos and schematics. Later on in the game you’ll also be able to buy carbon ingots here to make it easier to upgrade your weapons and armour. There’s also the chance to buy arrows if you’ve somehow run out, as well as rations to make sure you’re sorted before you head back out pillaging. If you don’t want to spend on rations, there are plenty of berry bushes available in the settlement.

Rowan’s stable is where you can buy new mounts for hard-earned silver but also where you can teach your mount to swim and upgrade their stamina. This is where you can switch out your mount and change your raven if you’re feeling like you’ve not quite got the right feathered friend. Unlike Origins or Odyssey you can’t change mount on the fly so be sure you like who you’re heading out with.

As one might expect, the Fishing Hut is where you’ll take fish to the adorable Arth, who has been left in charge by his grandfather. Building this unlocks the fishing line and gives you a shopping list of specific fish to earn rewards. It’s a nice way of passing some time that isn’t lopping off limbs so pick up the books of Fantastic Fish and Where To Find Them – should JK’s lawyers be in touch? – from the vendors scattered across England and get fishing for Arth’s extra rewards. Bear in mind that some fish are hard to catch with the line and you can always just use your bow or take a swing when you’re in the water. As uncivilised as that sounds.

As you might expect, the Tattoo Shop isn’t going to give many useful in-game perks early on other than making your Eivor look as intimidating and phenomenal as possible. If you can hold out on changing your tattoos and hair, make sure you have your other vital buildings first. Make a point of chasing some tattoo parchments when you are out and you can celebrate the eventual opening with a whole lot of pain-free ink.

Again, your shipyard is another aesthetic only upgrade. This will let you tweak each part of your longship with schematics that you’ll find across England. Particularly rare ones come from Treasure Horde maps so keep an eye on those and you’ll be able to switch up sails until the, err, prows come home. This is another less worthy addition so do make sure you have other more important buildings in place before you spend your resources.

Now Olson is a particularly useful friend to have. The Cartographer is where you can buy maps to find ingot, gear and Book of Knowledge locations you might have missed during your explorations. Each map is separated by region and only costs 15 silver a pop so you shouldn’t have to save too hard to make sure you’ve populated your map.

Much like the Fishing Hut, the Hunters Hut has a similar shopping list of deer hooves, animal guts and viper eggs to earn rewards. Catch up with Petra and Wallace and you can also turn in Legendary Animal hides for various shiny new things. Sadly though, they won’t give you the Legendary Animal locations, you’ll have to do them yourself. Or use our Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Legendary Animals locations guide.

Valka is your gateway to two huge mythical realms so you’ll want to save some resources to unlock her house as soon as you can. Once you’ve crafted the potion to ‘travel’ so to speak you can always come and go from her house and you won’t need to finish these worlds in order to complete the main campaign.

Here’s another ‘nice to have but not essential’ initial investment. The Roman obsessed Octavian is hungry to fill his Museum with the Roman Artefacts scattered around the world. Just like Hytham and Medallions, he’ll only take them in groups though so no need to ferry them back and forth independently.

Ah yes, the dealer of Opal. The Thousand Eyes will base itself in your settlement after you’ve completed a few regions of England so there’s no need to worry about wasting vital resources. Here Reda will offer up contracts in exchange for Opal and a daily rotating selection of gear and items. Do you chance that skull face tattoo now or wait to see what he has tomorrow…? Also remember that once you have run out of quests from Reda, there are other Thousand Eyes children scattered in the cities of Jorvik and Lunden so you can always find more Opal. Just don’t ask why they know so much, so young.

The below buildings all improve the feast buff when you ring the bell outside the longhouse and get together with your Viking crew. You can leave most of these until much later in the game but unlock at least one to unlock the ability to get clanging the bell in the first place.
By the end of upgrading all of these, having a feast will be an essential activity before you head out and try to take on any of those Legendary Animals. The officially named Feast Boost provides a long-lasting buff to ranged damage, health, armour and assassination damage so it’s absolutely worth the late game investment.

And finally, don’t forget to decorate your settlement. Wherever you see a small wooden dragon plinth you’ll be able to personalise that section of ground with decorations. You can get new ones by spending Helix credits in the store or by handing over Opal at Reda’s stall. Even the central tree in your settlement can be fully personalised at a later level so whether you want a Berserker feel or just something a little more leafy, you can make Ravensthorpe your own.

]]>The post CD Projekt Red isn’t discussing removing Cyberpunk 2077 from the Xbox digital store currently appeared first on Game News.
]]>Company president Adam Kaciński confirmed to Reuters (opens in new tab) earlier today on December 18 that CD Projekt Red hadn’t had any such discussions with Microsoft about potentially removing Cyberpunk 2077 for digital purchase on Xbox storefronts. This comment follows yesterday’s news that Cyberpunk 2077 was being temporarily removed from purchase through Sony’s digital PSN store on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Shortly after Sony announced that Cyberpunk 2077 sales would be halted on PlayStation platforms, CD Projekt Red released a statement on the matter, saying they were “working hard” to bring the game back on PS4 and PS5. Alongside Sony’s announcement, the company revealed that any users who still want to refund their digital purchases of Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation platforms can do so.
This all comes after Cyberpunk 2077’s fairly disastrous launch on both PS4 and Xbox One. After reassuring players that the game ran “surprisingly well” on last-gen platforms, CD Projekt Red leadership apologized for the bug-riddled launch of the game on both platforms this past week, after players encountered numerous bugs, glitches, and visual downgrades. Just a few days ago, CD Projekt Red leadership said the cost of fixing Cyberpunk 2077 on last-gen platforms was “irrelevant” compared to the hit their reputation has taken over the launch.

]]>In a new developer update (opens in new tab) posted yesterday, Kaplan discussed everything new that will be coming to the original Overwatch in the coming weeks, including new maps, cars, and more. Kaplan also touched on Overwatch 2, confirming that we will see more of the game at the BlizzCon Online event in February next year.
He said, “Even more so, I think we’re excited for the future. Can’t wait to talk to you more about Overwatch 2, can’t wait to show you more with Overwatch 2. We know it’s been too long, we know we’ve been quiet, and we still have a ways to go, just to manage expectations.”
BlizzCon Online is an alternative event to Blizzard’s annual convention where they would usually make announcements, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, an online event will take its place. BlizzCon Online 2021 will take place on February 19th-20th.
In January earlier this year, it was rumoured that Overwatch 2 would be coming to PS4 in 2020, but we can now debunk that leak because it looks like we’ll be seeing more of the sequel in February 2021 instead.
Overwatch 2 was announced during BlizzCon 2019, where Blizzard debuted the first cinematic trailer and later revealed gameplay for the upcoming sequel. The PvP shooter will expand the world of Overwatch, as well as it’s lore and characters, with a brand new story focus, in a player versus environment mode. Overwatch 2 will also include modes and co-op missions that are different to its 2016 predecessor, along with a big visual upgrade.

]]>After Snyder stepped away from Justice League due to a family tragedy, Whedon oversaw extensive reshoots which massively changed the tone and original vision of the movie. Snyder maintains that he has never watched the theatrical version of Justice League – and has reacted with some confusion when told about a particularly notorious scene.
On Vero, Snyder commented: “I understand and of course respect your feelings and I just hope I can wipe that Version out of existence with what you see in March”

Snyder has previously said he “would set [Justice League] on fire before I use a single frame I did not photograph,” so it’s not all that surprising to hear him keen to obliterate Whedon’s version entirely. Judging by the fan reaction to the theatrical cut, dubbed “Josstice League” by some – and Wonder Woman 1984 director Patty Jenkins’ recent comments about the film – then he’ll likely achieve his goal.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League is arriving to HBO Max as a miniseries in March 2021. If you just can’t wait that long, Snyder has teased Martian Manhunter’s appearance in the Snyder Cut, and has released a slightly extended trailer with new footage included. Until then, check out our guide to watching DC movies in order to get all caught up with the ultimate movie marathon.

We don’t have a trailer yet and exact plot details are mostly being kept under wraps, but showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich teased the upcoming season in an interview with GamesRadar+ last year. “What’s great about season two, I can tell you, is that, in what we’ve written, the story becomes much more focused. There’s a stronger drive in the story, because all of the relationships that we’ve been setting up in season one, actually start to come into fruition in season two,” she said.
Hissrich added: “Characters start meeting and interacting more. That goes well sometimes. It doesn’t go well sometimes. But it’s kind of like, all of those building blocks that we set up for the world, finally start to come together into something a little more concrete.”
There isn’t a release date for The Witcher season 2 yet, we just know it’ll be sometime in 2021. In the meantime, here’s a list of the best Netflix shows you can stream right now.

]]>The post Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer and DLC will be discussed “early next year” appeared first on Game News.
]]>As first picked up on by Reddit (opens in new tab) earlier this morning on December 15, Kiciński and other CD Projekt leads held an emergency meeting to address the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 and Xbox One, which the company apologised for earlier this week. When asked about what might happen with the game’s planned DLC and multiplayer component, Kiciński said that it’s “too early to judge,” but added that “it’s ahead of us, so we don’t know yet. We are now focused on improving Cyberpunk and will discuss it early next year.”
“About multiplayer, first and foremost we haven’t declared any date yet, and as I said before it’s hard to judge now,” Kiciński said of of Cyberpunk 2077’s planned multiplayer mode. “We’re in a situation which wasn’t planned, and we’ll have to reassess where we are, and that’s the plan for January. So now we are managing the situation of the single-player, we are working on patches and communication, and to refocus on gamers. We have to sit and discuss.”
Before Cyberpunk 2077 launched, CD Projekt revealed that several DLC expansions and a multiplayer mode were in the works for the game. The developer has previously talked about the multiplayer mode not releasing before 2021 at the very earliest, and the reveal of the DLC expansions was delayed prior to Cyberpunk 2077 launching last week.
The emergency meeting by CD Projekt’s leadership follows a fairly disastrous launch on PS4 and Xbox One. Yesterday on December 14, the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account apologised for the bugs and glitches on the PS4 and Xbox One version of the game, offering to help players refund their purchases while also outlining a slate of updates planned to help both versions. However, players on PS4 and PS5 have reported encountering issues when trying to get a refund for Cyberpunk 2077 through Sony’s customer service.
If you’re trying and struggling to get a refund for your purchase of CD Projekt’s game on any platform, you can head over to our Cyberpunk 2077 refund guide for immediate help.

]]>The post PlayStation Direct Europe store could be coming according to a job listing appeared first on Game News.
]]>Earlier today on December 15, a job listing (opens in new tab) for a Director at PlayStation Direct Europe surfaced online. What’s obviously noteworthy about this is that PlayStation doesn’t have a Europe-facing Direct storefront right now, so this strongly indicates that the PlayStation Direct store will soon be expanding into Europe.
Currently, the PlayStation Direct store is only available in the US. This Sony-facing storefront offers consumers the chance to purchase consoles like the PS5 from Sony directly, without having to go through a third-party storefront like Amazon or Walmart. Additionally, the Direct storefront houses accessory items like the Pulse 3D headset, and the PS5 camera for users to purchase directly.
When Sony opened up PS5 pre-orders through their Direct storefront earlier this year in the US, they did it on a ticketing basis. Prior to the consoles going on sale, you had to register through Sony to be in with a chance of purchasing the console directly through the supplier, as purchases through PlayStation Direct were done on an invite-only basis. This caused quite a stir, but it was certainly one alternative to putting pre-orders live and letting consumers fight it out with scalpers to be the first to get their hands on the new console, as many third-party retailers did.
With less than two weeks to go now until Christmas is finally upon us and we can wave 2020 farewell, you can head over to our best gifts for gamers guide for help finding presents for the Holiday season.

]]>The post CD Projekt Red offers refunds for poor Cyberpunk 2077 performance on PS4 and Xbox One appeared first on Game News.
]]>Below, you can see a complete statement put out from CD Projekt’s leadership earlier today on December 14. In the statement, CD Projekt officials apologize for the bugs, glitches, and other issues facing Cyberpunk 2077 players on PS4, and Xbox One, and additionally apologize for not showing the game running on these base consoles prior to launch.

Additionally, CD Projekt also pledges to help users on PS4 and Xbox One with refunds for their purchases. The company advises users to obtain digital refunds through the PlayStation and Xbox storefronts, or through their retailer for physical versions of Cyberpunk 2077. If users are struggling to obtain a refund on either platform, CD Projekt invites players to email them directly for help.
Finally, the statement outlines a list of upcoming patches for Cyberpunk 2077, starting within the next 7 days. This initial patch will “improve the overall experience” on PS4 and Xbox One, and after that, patches will roll out in January and February to smooth out the experience on both platforms. CD Projekt already began rolling out Cyberpunk 2077 patch notes on the day of launch for “update zero,” so patches have been in the works since well before the game launched.
It’s no secret that Cyberpunk 2077 on the PS4 and Xbox One hasn’t performed to the standards that many expected of CD Projekt prior to launch. The game’s subreddit (opens in new tab) and other community forums are awash with users complaining about performance issues, and other areas of the game at large.
If you’re experiencing performance issues on PC however, you can head over to our guide on Cyberpunk 2077 crashes for information on how to enhance your frame rate through a series of tweaks. Be sure to also check out our best gifts for gamers guide if you’re doing a bit of seasonal shopping.
