The Shadow of the Tomb Raider Challenges give Lara a distraction from, erm, raiding tombs, and there are plenty of them to work through across the different regions in the game. Some of them are pretty straightforward, while others prove to be real head-scratchers, particularly in cases when most of the items you need are gathered close together but the final one is hidden miles away. Don’t fret your time away in brain-melting frustration, by following our Shadow of the Tomb Raider Challenges guide if any of them have you stumped.

High Diving (Peruvian Jungle)

Everyone loves a big dive in a video game. Remember when Lara was swan diving around on Sega Saturn and PlayStation 1? So do we. Good times. And hey – you can relive those good times, not once, not twice, but FOUR times in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. That’s right, this challenge asks you to swan dive from four high points. Just make sure you actually swan dive, yeah? Jump then push B or Circle immediately. A foot-first plunge doesn’t count, much less a bellyflop.

1.
Immediately after you complete the grappling line sequence under the cliffs after the trial of the Eagle, you’ll get the prompt for a swan dive when you emerge from the cave. Just to be clear (though it tells you what to do anyway), that’s run, jump and push B/Circle immediately after jumping. Lara should perform a very impressive swan dive into the water below.

2.
After retrieving the Champion’s Bow in the King’s Horn sidequest in Paititi, there’s a prompt to perform this dive as you return to the village.

3.
Outside the entrance to the abandoned village crypt.

4. At the top of the room where the Temple Base Camp is located. It’s easy to climb to the top of the room, and even easier to swan dive down again.

Flower Picker (Peruvian Jungle)

This one teaches you how to climb trees and swing between them early on in the game. Basically there are several branches you can perch on like some kind of Lara Bird, and pick flowers that are growing there while you survey the scene. Pick 5 flowers from the canopy in this area and the challenge is yours. So where can you find them?

1.

The first one is basically given to you, when a huge bunch of white writing tells you how to climb trees. So do what it says. It’s at this location if you need to come back later.

2. Turn around and take a couple of hops and a swing across the branches to the next bunch of flowers. Don’t forget to press the X or square button to collect them.

3. Head to this location on the map and you’ll see a fallen tree that you can run up. This gives you a ramp to another tree branch, and this is the one with the flowers on it.

4. Make your way from the climbable tree at this location across the canopy – don’t forget to collect the flowers on the way, or you’ll have to start the climb all over again.

5. The last one is much easier. Climb the tree South-East of the Plane Wreckage base camp and it’s waiting for you on the branch. Now for a wildflower salad. Or something.

Ruffled Feathers

 (Peruvian Jungle)

There are some oropendola nests hanging in the Peruvian Jungle by the plane wreckage base camp – in particular around the remnants of your baggage from the trip. Just take out your bow by holding the left trigger, fire with the right trigger and knock these nests down. You don’t even have to retrieve anything from them. Lara’s just mean to things.

1.
As soon as you get your gear back, scan around to see the first nest suspended over a ravine.

2. Then there’s another one you can see from your gear, this time to the south-east. This is easy.

3. The third is to the east of the Plane Wreckage base camp, at this point on the map. It’s hanging above a clearing, but becomes highly visible when you use your instinct button.

4. At the start of the Jaguar fight, it’s immediately visible and best taken down then, though obviously you will have other things on your mind. If you do need to come back for it later, head to the Plane Wreckage base camp, and head east to the canyon, where you make a rope line to cross it. Once you have crossed, head to this location on the map and it should be hanging right here.

Arming yourself with some helpful Shadow of the Tomb Raider tips will stand you in good stead, as this is one of Lara’s biggest adventures yet. Of course, you can just jump in and start exploring for yourself, but there’s no doubt there are certain nuggets of information that are handy to know before you get properly stuck in. So, don’t leave any of these revelations to hindsight, and soak up this set of relatively spoiler-free Shadow of the Tomb Raider tips to set you off on the right foot – although number 8 does help to solve a puzzle, so skip it if you want to go into that particular challenge fresh.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Challenges | Shadow of the Tomb Raider Death Whistle Carvings | Shadow of the Tomb Raider document, mural, relic, map, and backpack guide | Shadow of the Tomb Raider reinforced knife, lockpick, and rope ascender | Shadow of the Tomb Raider Mirror Challenge Tomb

1. It’s impossible to clear an area first time round

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

That lovely 100% completion stat is something many gamers absolutely need to display. But thanks to Metroidvania game design, you literally can’t do everything in each area the first time you visit it. It’s actually better to just push on through the story beats, absorb all that cinematic action like it’s a playable film, then come back later to find all the trinkets.

2. Animals have hearts and that’s their weak point

Sure, shooting anything in the head will make it go down fast, but the larger animals have actual heart mapping (is that a thing? It is now), and one of the skills on your skill tree allows you to see that heart beating, hopefully letting you kill your target in one awesome shot (which is easier said than done, clearly). Of course, if you don’t have that perk yet, it’s still worth a guess.

3. The ‘rappel down’ rope goes longer if you press the buttons right

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

The irony here is that the game explains perfectly well how to do this, but it’s easy to forget exactly what you need to press in order to extend the rope. Trouble is, you need to push a shoulder button while clinging to a wall with your pick in order to rappel downwards. However, the temptation is to hold the trigger in, as logic says that letting go of the button may cause you to fall. It doesn’t. Just pull the stick down and the rope goes really long. Hold in the trigger again and push forwards/backwards to swing. Yep, easy when you know how.

4. GPS caches are revealed by finding Explorer Backpacks

Perhaps this isn’t so much of a surprise for those who are familiar with the series, but discovering the Explorer Backpack reveals the location of all the GPS survival caches on the map, eliminating the need to hunt for them. So don’t spend time scouring the environments looking for tell-tale glints in the sun – it’s a complete waste of your time.

5. The quick-select wheel is actually even quicker

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Pushing the d-pad at any time brings up an overlay (still in real-time) of your available weapons. You can then use the right stick to highlight the one you want. But you know what’s quicker? If you already know which weapon you want, you can just tap the corresponding d-pad direction and pull out, for example, your shotgun. Boom. Headshot.

6. Unlock Weapon Tier 4 with the skill tree

Raposa’s Wit allows you to unlock the next tier of your weapon upgrade level. We’d been stuck on 3 for hours until we saw this. Dummy.

7. Booby-trapping bodies is amazing fun

Basically you should unlock the Viper’s Snare, which give you the ability to boobytrap bodies as soon as you can. This allows you to set an explosive charge on a downed enemy, then whenever his comrade approaches, it blows up in his face, giving you a stealth kill. So. Much. Fun.

8. How to free the White Queen

Just skip this if you don’t want to hear the solution to this puzzle. But there’s an excellent dream sequence where young Lara breaks into her own house, while pretending she’s raiding a tomb. But the final puzzle sees her trying to free ‘The White Queen’. It’s easy enough to work out the rest, but it would have saved a lot of time if I’d known you have to go back to the globe and move it away from the correct co-ordinates in order to make the ladder retract and ‘free the White Queen’. Now you know, and can use that extra few minutes in any way you see fit. Lucky you.

Sure, we all love big, lavish games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Forza Horizon 4 but… sometimes you crave cheap and cheerful. So, picking up one of the best Xbox Live games under $10 can change the pace of your gaming significantly. Perhaps you’ve just nailed a 100 hour Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (opens in new tab) playthrough and want something small to cleanse your gaming palette? Or maybe you’re having a party and want some Xbox games to blast through for an evening with your buddies? We’ve got you covered.

The very best Xbox Live games under $10 offer something unique, and give you experiences designed to fit outside traditional gaming. Whether they’re emotional stories you can finish in a single sitting, like Dear Esther, or they’re cute party games like Starwhal, there’s something for everyone. You can usually save even more money on these games with an Xbox Live Gold deal (opens in new tab), and some are available on Xbox Game Pass (opens in new tab). So there are plenty of ways to access them and save even more money.

10. Dear Esther: Landmark Edition

Price: $9.99

Dear Esther is a walking simulator that split critics when it came to whether or not it effectively told its story using the medium of video games, but the general consensus was that players were in for a narrative that would have a lasting impact outside of its two hour-long playthrough.

Players will spend their time exploring a lonely island while listening to a disembodied male voice reading snippets of letters that will eventually come together to form the pieces of a rather sombre story. Each playthrough reveals different letter fragments, filling in more details with every trip to the island. It’s worth getting if you enjoy similar titles, like The Chinese Room’s follow-up game, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, which we awarded a 4.5/5 in our review (opens in new tab)

9. Starwhal

Price: $11.99

Starwhal is a couple of dollars over our promised $10 limit, but it’s a completely silly and irreverent couch co-op game for up to four players that will have the whole room in fits of giggles. Picking from a range of space narwhals, players can ready themselves for battle by choosing from over 90 costumes. If you want your narwhal to look like a flying piece of sushi, then have at it.

Up to four narwhals can duke it out over 25 arenas in four different game modes, including Score Attack, and Classic. And you can even brush up your jousting skills in the 32 single-player challenges. Starwhal made our list of the 15 best party games on Xbox (opens in new tab), so if you and your buddies like to get together and see who’s the best at doling out a sound thrashing, this is the game for you.

8. Goat Simulator

Price: $9.99

Goat Simulator is definitely for those of you who enjoy a touch of the whimsical. Playing as a goat, your mission – should you choose to accept it – is to be a goat. Goating around and watching the absurd ragdoll physics create a trail of havoc in your wake.

It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, as evidenced by our 2015 review (opens in new tab), but if you go in with the expectation that it’s just plain nonsense, you’ll find out that it’s really not that baaaaaa-d. Don’t just take my word for it; read Butterball the Goat’s comprehensive Goat Simulator review (opens in new tab) for a worthy second opinion.

7. Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon

Price: $9.99

No, this isn’t a Castlevania game, but also, yes, it kind of is. Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon is the stretch goal mini-game from the Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Kickstarter campaign. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night creator, Koji Igarashi, launched the Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night crowdfunding campaign earlier this year, which is considered to be a spiritual successor to the series, and is also definitely not a Castlevania game.

While Ritual of the Night isn’t getting a release until 2019, Curse of the Moon has been available since March, and lets you step into the shoes of demon slayer,  Zangetsu, in an 8-bit adventure that channels Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse for the NES. There’s even a whip! If you’re a Castlevania fan, you’d be crazy not to drop $10 on this.

6. Thomas Was Alone

Price: $10.99

We’ve cheated again, I know, but it’s only an extra 99 cents for this puzzle-platformer whose witty narration by British comedian and writer, Danny Wallace, will have you invested in the fate of a handful of gaudily-coloured rectangles before you’ve realised it’s happened. You’re in for an emotional rollercoaster, to say the least.

We gave Thomas Was Alone a 3.5/5 in our 2013 review (opens in new tab) praising the “witty writing” that “creates characterization from nothing.” It’s not the most challenging of games in the genre, but the writing elevates it to a narrative that is really worth your time. And your $10-ish dollars.

5. A Boy and His Blob

Price: $9.99

A Boy and His Blob is the 2009 re-imagining of the 1989 NES classic, A Boy and His Blob: Trouble on Blobolonia. The adorable platforming-puzzle adventure features  hand-drawn 2D levels that you (the boy) and your Blob will need to traverse to help save the citizens of Blobolonia.

Feeding the Blob different coloured jellybeans will give him all the motivation he needs to morph into handy shapes, like a ladder, parachute, and trampoline, to name but a few. The most important mechanic – that you should deploy often – is the hug button, that exists for the sole purpose of hugging your squishy friend. We gave the game 4/5 stars in our review (opens in new tab).

4. Limbo

Price: $9.99

Limbo is one of the best platform-puzzle games to have been released in recent years. Pigeonholing it into that genre is to do a disservice to the title which is at times unsettling, frustrating, eerie, and melancholic, with a beautifully simple aesthetic that perfectly underpins the tone.

If you haven’t had the pleasure of playing Limbo, you should do yourself a favour and grab it now. It even managed to bag the loftiest achievement of all, with a perfect 5/5 in our review (opens in new tab).

3. Bastion

Price: $7.50

Currently sitting at 50% off in the Xbox Store, Bastion is more than worth its usual $15, so if you miss out on the sale, we’d recommend you grab it anyway. A hack-and-slash action game with a vibrant palette and haunting soundtrack, the game follows “the Kid”, a boy who wakes up to find the world falling down around his ears – quite literally.

All of your actions are accompanied by the gruff narration of Logan Cunningham, which adds another element to what may have otherwise been just another hack-and-slash adventure. There are a few twists-and-turns in store as you progress, and the game really deserves one more star than our 2011 review (opens in new tab) awarded it. Get it on sale while you can, but we still think you should snap it up even at full price.

2. The Elder Scrolls Online

Price: $10.00

The Elder Scrolls Online is another sale title that you can also pick up for the tantalising price of $10 with Xbox Games Pass. You can try out a 14-day trial, which is well worth it, as there are 100+ games on there right now.

TESO is an MMO RPG that lets you explore the world of Tamriel, and has had a ton of improvements and a slew of extra content since its 2014 release. Our initial review gave the game a score of 3/5 (opens in new tab), but since then, the game has evolved, and delivers everything you could possibly want in the absence of The Elder Scrolls 6 (opens in new tab)

1. Divinity: Original Sin – Enhanced Edition

Price: $10.99 with Xbox Live Gold

Divinity: Original Sin is one of my favourite RPGs and certainly one of the best 25 RPGs to play right now (opens in new tab), even if it didn’t make our list due to some mysterious oversight. The game offers both single-player and two-player co-op options. And hey, if you can manage to play through the strategic, turn-based combat with someone (which can get pretty brutal, depending on how brave you were in the difficulty settings) without murdering them, more power to you.

Larian Studios marries tactical combat, intricate RPG elements, and humour to create a world that is a joy to explore. The usual price in the Xbox Store is $39.99 but you can get it for a fraction of that with an Xbox Live Gold membership. No, it’s not less than $10 but… come on.

Looking for more? Here are the best Xbox One exclusive games (opens in new tab) currently available to play!

December sees the launch of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. And never was a game better named. Here hundreds of characters will come together for the first Nintendo Switch outing. Whether you want to buy this landmark game digitally or in a physical bundle, you want to find the best price around. We’ve compiled the best selections for you, ensuring you can get access to yet another must own title from Nintendo.

As recently reported here, Smash Bros Ultimate (opens in new tab) is looking to be the best way to experience the franchise. With a every single character coming back for the new fight, fans have already been going mad over every drop of news. But Nintendo isn’t holding back, bringing new characters King K.Rool from the Donkey Kong games, alongside Simon and Richter Belmont from the Castlevania series. Early opinions praise the idea of bringing together everyone as “a museum for its own franchise” (opens in new tab). So whether you want to play online, be the best in the world or just rough up your mates in local multiplayer, we’ve got you covered for where to buy. And if you need one before it arrives, here are the best Nintendo Switch bundle (opens in new tab) deals out there (alternatively, stop by our cheap Nintendo game deals (opens in new tab) hub).

Super Smash Bros Ultimate Limited Edition

For the ultimate experience, this Limited Edition version of the game comes with the standard release of Ultimate, but also features a Smash Ultimate branded Gamecube controller. And this is a genuine Gamecube controller, rather than a shell with Switch features implemented. This means you’ll need an adaptor, but this edition comes with that too. Perfect for recreating the best way to play the franchise.

Buy it US – This edition is unavailable in the U.S.
Buy it UK –
£89.99 from Amazon (opens in new tab)

Buy it UK – The Steelbook version can be bought from GAME for £49.99 (opens in new tab), however the Pro Controller is unavailable, but will surely find its way to Amazon Marketplace

Super Smash Bros Gamecube Controller

If you want to play with the controller all the professionals tend to use and the controller that Smash was designed for, you’ll want this Gamecube controller. However, to connect it to your Switch, you’ll also need an adaptor which will set you back a bit more. Keep in mind you only need one adaptor to support up to four players using the Gamecube controller.

Buy it US – Controller for $29.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab). Amazon also sell the Adapter for $19.99 (opens in new tab).

Tokyo is alive with Pokemon Go (opens in new tab). Nowhere do the lines of AR and real life seem to blur more than this city of neon lights and endless enthusiasm for Pikachu and co. While the mobile phenomenon is celebrating some of its highest player figures since launch, with thousands of Pokemon trainers still catching ‘em all around the world, it’s wandering the humid dark streets of Tokyo where you see what a way of life Niantic’s portable critter collector has become.

Heading in the direction of a Regirock raid near Tokyo Station, I catch flashes of the mobile screens of passers-by walking in the same direction. Pokemon Go’s green map shines brightly out of the darkness, every glimpse a little moment of home in an alien new city. It’s the night before the Pokemon Go Safari Zone in Yokosuka but the more than fifty silent people gathered at the Raid gym – politely standing away from the middle of the pavement like all good players – aren’t there because Niantic has rolled into town (or because they’re afraid of crippling jetlag). This is a standard night in the Japanese city. Gazing around and jealously wishing it was like this at home in the UK where I try and entice passing cats to do raids, there’s nothing to do but join a party of 14 and hit ‘Battle’.

Pokemon Go trading (opens in new tab) | Pokemon Go Community Day (opens in new tab) | Pokemon Go field research (opens in new tab) | Pokemon Go shiny list (opens in new tab) | Pokemon Go regional Pokemon (opens in new tab) | Pokemon Go raids (opens in new tab) | Pokemon Go Sinnoh Stones (opens in new tab) | Pokemon Go Legendaries (opens in new tab) | Pokemon Go Evolution Items (opens in new tab) | Pokemon Go Pokedex (opens in new tab) | How to catch Mew and Mewtwo in Pokemon Go (opens in new tab) | How to catch Celebi in Pokemon Go (opens in new tab) | How to catch Smeargle in Pokemon Go (opens in new tab) | How to catch Meltan in Pokemon Go (opens in new tab) | How to change team in Pokemon Go (opens in new tab)

The Pokemon Go Safari Zone in Yokosuka is the final event in a summer of success for Niantic. After a victorious Pokemon Go Fest in Chicago as the team finally delivered a perfect event for the city, it was time to take Pokemon home again. From Wednesday 29 August to Sunday 2 September, three parks in the naval city of Yokosuka in Tokyo’s Kanagawa prefecture are filled with Pokemon trainers questing for rare Pokemon, and a serious boost of Stardust. Unlike the recent Dortmund Safari Zone in Germany which was open to all, Yokosuka used a computer selection system to choose a capped number of players for each of the five days to prevent overcrowding. It’s necessary but only unfortunate that clearly so many players have to lose out.

Arriving in Yokosuka train station to the smell of the sea means passing Sucurry, a statue of the city’s seagull mascot proudly offering up a plateful of Yokosuka’s famous Navy Curry. It’s no coincidence then that the Pokemon newly available as a Pokemon Go shiny at the event is Wingull, complete with green striped wings instead of the standard blue. Wingull isn’t the only treat though. Spin one of the three check-in Pokestops, and scan your unique QR code and suddenly the busy park is filled with Tropius, a gen 3 regional ‘mon previously only found in Africa. Clear the huge green beasts out of the way and it turns out the map is also packed with lazy Slakoths, the bowl-headed Ralts, and a slew of new Unowns spelling out the letters for ‘Yokosuka!’.

It’s worth noting that for the majority of players here, few Pokemon are actually new. Two years and three generations in and this is a player base hungry for the much-teased Gen 4.  While I catch Tropius with the joyful satisfaction and glee of adding a new critter to my Pokedex, trading means that plenty of players here are already sitting with a full set, and Niantic understands just this. Sure, you might have caught all the Pokemon but do you have all 26 letters of the alphabet and punctuation available as Unowns? Do you have every shiny available? What about Lucky Pokemon? This is no longer about just catching them all. The collectors here are still working hard and there’s plenty to be getting on with, not to mention a drinks vending machine that currently has very real navy-dressed Pikachu figures.

‘This is no longer about just catching them all.”

It turns out that this suffering Scot stands out in the humid 34 degree heat as someone who might have rarer regional Pokemon. A man approaches nervously with a greeting of ‘Heracross?’ and I happily agree to hand over the Pokemon for an Unown I don’t already have.  We might not share a language but Pokemon Go does all the hard work for us as we trade friend codes, swap gifts, and decide on Pokemon together. Our conversation is largely made up of the words ‘special trade’ and ‘stardust’ but after much smiling and confusion, I get a new friend and the reward of his sheer glee as Heracross arrives in his Pokedex. The joyous moment of a step closer to Pokedex completion doesn’t need Google Translate.

Like the new Pokemon Go Celebi quest, Professor Willow hands over a new set of quests at the Safari Zone. There’s no rare Pokemon at the end here though, although each small mini task does yield some powerful third evolutions that I spilled blood, sweat, and tears to earn in the real world. Here’s another Gardevoir that you didn’t need to walk your feet into a pulp for. Yay? I finish catching in Verny Park before wandering the mile or so to the next one to catch the 10 Beldum required for the quest. There isn’t even any need to look at a real map. The telltale lures of a well-worn Poke-route along Shenmue’s Dobuita Street and the swarms of people in Pikachu hats effortlessly indicate the way. Yokosuka is embracing the festival too as shops hand out more cardboard headgear and Pokemon Go fans to commemorate the event. I greatly appreciate the latter.

There are gentler celebrations of the game here too. While Chicago’s Pokemon Go Fest had physical representations of the various loading screens for selfie opportunities, Yokosuka still needs to function as a city so exclusive Safari Zone Poke Stops do the trick. As I spin it Memory Lane: New Years 2017 is a sudden burst of nostalgia with Picchu and co watching some fireworks. For those who play Pokemon Go every day, it’s a lovely touch that further proves the multitude of ways that Niantic understands its fanbase. It might only be two years old but Pokemon Go is already making memories and is far from fading into obscurity.

The updates haven’t arrived fast but the slow and steady drip of new Pokemon Go features makes events like this soar like a Wingull on a strong breeze. People are wandering with their must-have regional Pokemon slung on hand-drawn signs around their necks. Players pore over Unowns. There is occasionally the (quiet) celebration of a shiny discovery. Every addition to the game means that there’s a multitude of ways to play Pokemon Go as players of all ages tap and swipe away under the bright sun.

Excitingly, this feels like only the beginning of the events to come. It might be on a smaller scale compared to the volcanoes and ‘real’ snow of Chicago’s Go Fest but sitting in the shade of the Mikasa Battleship and watching the peaceful parade of players wandering through the beautiful Mikasa Park, it’s easy to see the rhythm that these events can take in future. As Niantic gets more confident creating experiences like this one, community days will only be the beginning of global region specific events. With reliable cellular coverage or Wi-Fi, Pokemon Go players can meet up to play and experience the game exactly as it’s meant to be played; together and celebrating the outdoors. And, yes, that includes from here in the shade too.

On the frantic battlefields of Fortnite (opens in new tab), you’ve probably seen a few royalers sporting golf clubs, or shooting hoops to pass the time. Maybe you’ve even taken a few L’s yourself on the game’s new, expansive golf course. Well, if you’re wondering how that all works, here’s a quick guide to mastering the minigames that these toys let you indulge in.

How to get the Fortnite toys

If you don’t quite know how to get them, don’t fear – they’re buried in the Battle Pass menu. These “toys” are the beach ball, basketball, and golf ball, introduced at the start of Fortnite Season 5 (opens in new tab) back in July. To unlock them, you have to buy a Battle Pass and level your way through tier after tier of rewards to finally get your hands on them. You better get cracking, though – you unlock the basketball at tier 11, the golf ball at tier 27, and the beach ball at tier 43. If you keep going, you’ll also unlock fancy versions of the golf ball at tier 59, beach ball at tier 75, and the basketball at tier 91.

How to use your Fortnite toys

Once you actually get these toys, you’ll probably want to go about equipping them. They’re treated as emotes, so just use the wheel like you would with any of the game’s wonderful, lively dances. Use the B key or down on the d-pad to bring up the wheel, if you don’t remember.

Some tips for playing with each Fortnite toy

For the beach ball, there isn’t really much to do other than try to keep it up in the air. Jumping against it gives it a little more momentum, as does whacking it with your Harvesting Tool. You can try this at the tennis court near Lazy Links for maximum effect. Once it hits the ground, it’s only a matter of time before it disappears. While Season 5 is nearly finished, chances are the next Battle Pass will feature new versions of each toy so no one is left out.

Check near Retail Row, Greasy Grove, and Tilted Towers amongst other locations for Fortnite basketball courts (opens in new tab). You can try to do your best Kobe impression there. Make sure sure to aim your reticle such that you get a good arc on your shot; if you manage to get it in the hoop, it’ll show up on the kill feed. Just watch your back – some griefers like to set up in these locations, waiting for easy marks like yourself.

The golf ball is a little easier to figure out. If you look on your map, you’ll find Lazy Links in the north of the map, in the dead center. Look around there enough, and you’ll find a nine-hole golf course for you and your friends to mess around with. Like the basketball, the position of your reticle will have a significant effect on the path of the ball, so make sure to fine-tune it before you hit the links for real. As with the basketball, you might find some people camping this location, fully intent on ruining your fun, so stick to the Fortnite Playground mode (opens in new tab) if you’re absolutely determined to play an actual round.
