DC has released a preview of Batman #125, which marks the first issue by writer Chip Zdarsky, as artist Jorge Jiménez and colorist Tomeu Morey return to the series after seven months away.

In addition to a new logo (below), DC has also revealed a trailer for the issue featuring the Three Jokers, which led us to speculate about their return in Batman #125. However, pages from the latest preview show Bruce merely dreaming about the tripled Clown Prince of Crime.

Still, it sets an ominous tone for Zdarsky’s first arc. See below:

Zdarsky, Jiménez, and Morey begin their run together with ‘Failsafe,’ a six-issue story arc (the beginning of what Zdarsky calls a “long haul”) that introduces a mysterious new threat to the Caped Crusader: Gotham City’s billionaires are being gruesomely murdered.

“Bruce Wayne is at a turning point, haunted by dreams of a dark future,” reads DC’s description of ‘Failsafe,’ which also seems to double as the name of this new supervillain. “With the discovery of an archenemy’s involvement and a tragedy unfolding, the Dark Knight’s nightmares are just beginning.”

The writer compared Failsafe to Doomsday, the Kryptonian monster who once killed Superman

“When DC approached me to write Batman, I immediately thought about things that could really challenge the character mentally, physically, and in terms of his relationships,” Zdarsky said in an interview with ComicBook (opens in new tab). “Failsafe is his Doomsday. When I started mapping out the story I got really excited about where it could take the title.”

The 48-page Batman #125 also includes a backup story written and illustrated by Belén Ortega starring Catwoman. Gotham City erupts in chaos when the criminal underworld fights over one of the city’s crown jewels. Caught in the middle, Selina has to figure out how to stop the bloodshed while maybe making a few dollars in the process.

Zdarsky is no stranger to Batman, as he just wrapped the 10-issue DC Black Label series Batman: The Knight, the first three issues of which were collected in a 96-page compendium edition on May 10 and included a Batman #125/’Failsafe’ preview.

Jiménez and Morey last illustrated 2021’s Batman #117 (opens in new tab), which was also then-writer James Tynion IV’s last issue.

Here’s a four-page unlettered preview of their work on Batman #125.

When first announced as the new Batman writer, Zdarsky initially revealed that he’s working closely with the artist on crafting a somewhat different visual take on Batman and Gotham than Jiménez’s previous work alongside Tynion.

“Early on in the process, I let him know I’d be going a little darker with the scripts and Jorge immediately grabbed onto that and turned in pages that were gritty and intense, but still had the bigger-than-life energy of a Jorge Jiménez drawing,” Zdarsky explains. “He’s the best! Truly the best.”

Newsarama previously spoke to Jiménez and Morey about their new approach to Batman.

As for what comes after ‘Failsafe,’ again the writer says he’s in it “for the long haul,” saying that, much like his current Daredevil run at Marvel Comics (which relaunched with a new #1 in June), he plans to stick around for an extended stay on the title. What’s more, his plans will ripple out across DC’s Batman line into other titles.

“I’ve been cooking up plans that will be felt through all the Bat-titles, which have an amazing roster of talent on them, and I think readers will be pretty happy,” promises Zdarsky.

Though well-known creators from Frank Miller to Ed Brubaker and many more have worked on both Daredevil and Batman, Zdarsky may be the first writer to write both DC’s premiere urban vigilante and Marvel’s at the same time.

Batman #125 by Chip Zdarsky and Jorge Jiménez goes on sale July 5. Here’s a look at all of Batman #125’s variant covers, by artists Jim Lee, InHyuk Lee, Gabriele Dell’Otto, Simone di Meo, Jiménez, JOCK, Alex Garner, and Chip Zdarsky.

That’s Batman vs. Robin … not Batman and Robin.

Writer Mark Waid’s DC renaissance continues this September when he and artist Mahmud Asrar and colorist Nathan Fairbairn team for a five-issue limited series titled Batman vs. Robin.

The first issue will feature a cover by and variant covers by Jason Fabok, Alexander Lozano, Joshua Middleton, Steve Beach, Lucio Parrillo, Bryan Hitch, and Dave Rapoza, which can all be seen below.

Batman vs. Robin, along with the new Tim Drake: Robin series, appears to have taken the place of the ongoing Robin series starring Damian Wayne, which is not soliciting a new issue in September, which also follows writer Joshua Williamson’s exit from that series with August’s Robin #17.

The series (which will feature oversized issues) sees the always fraught relationship between Bruce Wayne and his son Damian bubble over into a full-blown conflict. DC is calling it an “epic battle of icons years in the making!”

(opens in new tab)

For his part, Asrar described the series as an “event” to “shake things up for Bruce’s world,” on his Instagram page (opens in new tab).

The series spins out of the events of Waid’s Batman/Superman: World’s Finest and the current ‘Shadow War’ Batman-Robin-Deathstroke, Inc. crossover by writer Joshua Williamson.

“Deep in the heart of Lazarus Island, the demonic legacy of the al Ghul family line has at last been freed, and the Devil Nezha is out for blood,” reads DC’s description of Batman vs. Robin.

In a bid to reclaim total domination over Earth, Nezha ‘supercharges’ magic and anyone who uses it gets overtaken by a demonic evil that “super-charges” their magical abilities to dangerous, unpredictable, and even deadly levels.

Damian falls into Nezha’s clutches and Bruce is haunted by the return of an old friend while the father and son are pitted against one another.

Nezha is the main villain of the first World’s Finest arc.

“…the first arc of World’s Finest is, was, and always has been, designed deliberately to lead into what is going to be Batman vs. Robin,” the writer told Popverse (opens in new tab). “What I was trying to do with Batman versus Robin was try to take them into a realm that I’m not used to seeing them in, which is dark magic sorcery, rather than science, rather than logic and detective stuff. We’ve seen Batman and sort of peripheral magic, but I want to get into the down and dirty of it.”

World’s Finest, for readers not yet familiar, is a series with Silver Age sensibilities set in the past when Dick Grayson was still Robin (though towards the end of his tenure, trying on long pants for the first time) and in Newsarama’s eyes, Robin is the star of the fun and funky series.

It appears Batman vs. Robin is also the fall major DCU fall event referenced in May 17’s Shadow War Zone #1 anthology.

The story ‘Inner Demon’ by writer Nadia Shammas and artist Sweeney Boo flashes back to the younger years of Robin’s mother Talia al Ghul. Frustrated over secrets her father Ra’s al Ghul hides from her, young Talia makes a secret pilgrimage to Lazarus Island. There she meets her grandmother who reveals that Talia has a stronger connection to the Lazarus Pit, setting the stage for what DC calls a “major DCU event this Fall.”

Nezha is mentioned in the modern DCU for the first time in May 24’s Deathstroke Inc. #9 (opens in new tab), part of the ‘Shadow War’ crossover. which partially explains the timing of the Batman vs. Robin reveal.

In the story, Talia tells her grandmother Mother Soul that Ra’s is dead. She responds by saying “I knew it. The prophecy is coming to pass.” Adding “The true Demon will return. Nezha will rise!”

And apparently, he will.

Waid also told Popverse that Batman vs. Robin isn’t the only spin-off from World’s Finest in the works. According to the writer, World’s Finest’s second story arc will also start in September and will also cross over with another new but unnamed limited series.

“They’re two separate things,” Waid says. “What the second arc is leading into is not on the radar yet… I can’t hardly say anything, but there’s something in that second arc that the payoff is, ‘Oh! I didn’t realize that the payoff is part of something that I’ve known for a long time.'”

(opens in new tab)

Given Batman vs. Robin begins in September, Newsarama also can’t help but think of the fact the Robin ongoing series will be getting a new writer that same month, as current writer Joshua Williamson just announced this departure from the series after August’s Robin #17 which sets Damian up in what DC calls a “shocking new storyline that will test his role as Robin and his place in the DCU!”

With this “shocking” new storyline and the absence of a known writer for the Robin ongoing series beginning in September, could Waid’s Batman vs. Robin be related in any way?

Eagled-eyed readers might have already noticed DC teased the existence of Batman vs Robin in plain sight for some time. In August it’s offering the trade paperback collection Batman vs. Robin: Road to War, a collection of Batman and Damian-centric stories, including stories from Teen Titans #43-44, Teen Titans Annual #2, Detective Comics #1032-1033, and a “two-part backup feature that sets the stage for a new chapter in the life of Damian Wayne” originally published in Batman #106 and Detective Comics #1034.

“A storm is coming…and a battle years in the making between Bruce Wayne and Damian Wayne is on the horizon,” reads DC’s description of the collection.

Neither Waid nor Asrar used the word “war” to describe the conflict at the heart of Batman vs. Robin, but Batman vs. Robin: Road to War is almost certainly connected to the new series.

Here’s a gallery of all those variant covers:

Dick and Damian of course figure very prominently in Newsarama’s list of the best Robins of all time.

Prolific DC writer Joshua Williamson is exiting as the regular writer of the Robin ongoing series following August’s Robin #17, Williamson announced On May 21.

“ROBIN #17 in August is my LAST issue of Robin,” Williamson tweeted (opens in new tab). “Writing Damian has been some of my happiest times at DC. I loved writing this series, and the response to it has been a gift. For a lot of reasons this felt like the right time to step off the title. But it’s all good reasons.”

“I’ve been writing a LOT this last year, running hot, and leaving Robin, Batman, and Deathstroke Inc let’s me catch my breath a bit so I focus on the end of DARK CRISIS and my 2023 DC books and plans,” he continued. “Including creator owned books. All of which are very exciting.”

Williamson promised his followers he’d get into more details regarding his exit as it gets closers to August’s Robin #17, and he tweeted that for now he “just wanted to quickly say thank you for the support and love you’ve shown the Robin series this last year!”

Robin is currently involved in the Batman, Deathstroke, Inc., Robin crossover ‘Shadow War.’

August’s Robin #17, which will be illustrated by Roger Cruz and Norm Rapmund, promises to pull Damian Wayne into a “shocking new storyline that will test his role as Robin and his place in the DCU!” and it’s now confirmed that shocking new storyline will be written by a new writer.

How or if this relates to writer Mark Waid’s Batman vs. Robin limited event series beginning in September remains to be seen.

But while you’re here, you might as well check out a preview of May 24’s Robin #14 by Williamson, Cruz, Rapmund, and Luis Guerrero.

It gets hot in August in most of the US (and very hot in a big part of it) so DC is letting some of its superheroes ditch the spandex that doesn’t breathe so well in the summertime to cavort in swimsuits (or swimming costumes as our British friends at GamesRadar would say) for the month.

Hey, in this case, ‘swimming costumes’ might actually be more appropriate!

No, Bruce Wayne won’t be facing down the Joker rockin’ just the famous black trunks in the pages of Batman, but DC will be letting the Dark Knight, Catwoman, Nubia, Nightwing, Black Adam, and more hit the beach and the pool in a series of swimsuit variant covers during the summer month by artists like Artgerm, Joëlle Jones, Nicola Scott, Mikel Janín and more.

Once a staple of the ’90s during the Wizard Magazine era, Newsarama counts 10 swimsuit variant covers in August that are a little more subtle in 2022 than they might have once been.

Hey, did we also mention the DC full August 2022 solicits hit your browser on Friday, May 20 at noon ET?

So here’s a slightly early look at the swimsuit variant covers we found in DC’s August offerings, who drew them, and what issues you’ll find the covers on.

Jean-Paul Valley, AKA Azrael, AKA Angel of St. Dumas, AKA the one-time more violent replacement Batman, is back as the star of his own limited series.

Sword of Azrael #1

(opens in new tab)

The August-debuting Sword of Azrael #1 is written by Dan Watters and illustrated by Nikola Čižmešija. If that creative team sounds familiar, it should – Watters and Čižmešija paired on the ‘Sword of Azrael: Dark Knight of the Soul’ three-part serialized story from Batman: Urban Legends #8-10 that leads into the new Sword of Azrael six-part series.

And despite picking up the sword again, Jean-Paul is doing so reluctantly. But hey, this is comic books. Retirement, like death, is usually only a temporary gig.

“The warrior angel of St. Dumas returns!” reads DC’s description of the new series. “Jean-Paul Valley does not want to be Azrael ever again. All it has brought him is pain, violence, and misery. He has sequestered himself away at a monastery in Europe to find peace. But when a young woman who claims to have the same System programming that made Jean-Paul into Azrael arrives at the monastery, he won’t have a choice but to don his violent mantle of Azrael once more to protect her from the deadly assassins who wish her harm.”

Azrael is of course best known for his stint as an unhinged and violent Batman when he replaced Bruce Wayne in the 1993-’94 ‘Knightfall’ story arc after Batman’s back is broken by Bane.

The character was first introduced in the ’92-’93 limited series Batman: Sword of Azrael by the legendary Batman writer-editor Denny O’Neil and Joe Quesada, who of course went on to become Marvel Comics editor-in-chief.

DC promises the series will redefine what it calls one of the Batman world’s “most iconic and fierce characters.”

This all sounds like a potential new Azreal to us … and perhaps a new relation to Jean-Paul, given the Azrael title and the damaging psychological conditioning known as The System inflicted by the Order of St. Dumas is a long-time hereditary role in the Valley family.

Sword of Azrael #1 will feature a cover by Čižmešija and variant covers (all seen here) by  Josh Middleton, Claire Roe, and Quesada and Tomeu Morey.

And in case any Azrael fans missed the Batman: Urban Legends serialized story, DC is collecting it in the 40-page one-shot Sword of Azrael: Dark Knight of the Soul #1 also by Watters and Čižmešija with a cover by Čižmešija and a variant cover by Juni Ba.

“The Angel of St. Dumas’s faith is challenged!” reads the description. “Azrael has returned to Gotham City after a long time away, unsure of his purpose and having his faith constantly challenged by demonic developments in the city. The arrival of the new antagonist the Poor Fellow will change Azrael’s future forever.”

Sword of Azrael #1 and Sword of Azrael: Dark Knight of the Soul #1 both go on sale August 2.

Azrael’s replacing Batman during ‘Knightfall’ is still regarded as one of the biggest changes to Batman in his 80-plus-year history.

The DC Universe’s greatest cooperative of superheroes, the Justice League, is dead.

On April 26 in the pages of Justice League #75 (opens in new tab), nine of the ten core members of the Justice League including Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman were gathered in deep space to battle a conglomeration of the most vicious villains in the universe known as the Dark Army and were during the fight – with only one member returning alive.

And so, the comics world is mourning the sudden, sad deaths of the Metropolis’s Man of Steel, Gotham City’s Caped Crusader, and the Warrior Princess of Themyscira along with Aquaman, Zatanna, John Stewart (Green Lantern), Green Arrow, Black Canary, Hawkgirl, and Martian Manhunter. And in a larger sense, the world also mourns the loss of the preeminent superhero organization the Justice League itself, which will remain dormant for the foreseeable future according to a spokesperson for the organization, DC writer Joshua Williamson.

The Justice League was founded in 1960 when the alien conqueror Starro first attempted to conquer Earth, with Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter joining forces to defeat the psychic starfish, along with an assist from Superman and Batman, a tale told in the immortal The Brave & The Bold #28 (opens in new tab).

Shortly after, the team was officially codified with Superman and Batman joining up during an attack by another alien despot, Despero, who attempted to use his mind-control abilities to commandeer the League.

This burgeoning era is chronicled starting in Justice League of America #1 (opens in new tab) (also in 1960), which began the League’s original heyday. In these years, they expanded their membership quickly, bringing in heroes such as Zatanna, Hawkman and Hawkgirl, Green Arrow, Black Canary, and many more – forming a core membership roster that has lasted off-and-on as the heart of the Justice League until their deaths on April 26.

Final Crisis #2 page

Through the decades, the League has protected the Earth from threats greater than most of us could even imagine, from the existential destruction of reality itself to countless alien invasions, and the innumerable plots of those who would use their own superpowers for evil instead of good.

The world may never see the likes of the Justice League again – let alone the individual heroes such as Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.

(Or will it?

And though there are still those with the power to step into the shoes of Earth’s greatest protectors, most of us will be left with a sentiment perhaps best expressed by Superman himself in his eulogy for Martian Manhunter’s first funeral during the Final Crisis (opens in new tab) event: “We’ll all miss [them], and pray for a resurrection.”

The Justice League is survived by the Titans and the Teen Titans.

Update: The big fall event teased in May 17’s Shadow War Zone #1 has been revealed.

It’s Batman vs. Robin, a five-issue event pitting Batman versus his son and Ra’s ah Ghul’s grandson Damian Wayne in what DC calls an “epic battle of icons years in the making!”

The September-debuting series is written by Mark Waid and drawn by Mahmud Asrar.

Check out Newsarama’s story for all the latest details.

Original story follows

DC’s next big event kicks off April 27 with ‘Death of the Justice League’ in Justice League #75 and continues in Dark Crisis in May and June … which means it’s time for the publisher to start teasing its next big event.

Because comics…

In an unlettered first look preview at pages from four stories from May 17’s Shadow War Zone #1 (opens in new tab), a one-shot anthology special serving as an epilogue to its current event storyline ‘Shadow War’ showcasing the story’s impact on the DC Universe, DC revealed its Fall 2022 event will somehow involve the Lazarus Pit and likely Talia al Ghul.

Shadow War Zone #1

Shadow War Zone #1 main cover by Jonboy Meyers (Image credit: DC)

(opens in new tab)

Talia – Damian Wayne’s mom and member of the little-used new superhero-villain hybrid team the Totality – has seemingly sparked up her long-time romance with Batman and appears poised to become a regular character in Batman’s various series.

Due to the (apparent) murder of her father Ra’s by Deathstroke (but not really) “Talia al Ghul has put a hit on anyone who has ever worked with Deathrroke – and that includes Black Canary!” reads DC’s description of Shadow War Zone #1. “Where has Luke Fox been? Talia is sick of watching from the sidelines and joins the battle herself.”

In a description of the story ‘Inner Demon’ by writer Nadia Shammas and artist Sweeney Boo, DC lets the next event cat out of the bag.

The story flashes back to the younger years of Robin’s mom Talia al Ghul.

The Lazarus Pit is a pool of unknown natural green liquid on said Lazarus Island that instantly heals injuries and grants immortality to people who bathe in it, which is the secret of Ra’s al Ghul immortality (up until recently that is) and has been responsible for several significant resurrections of dead superheroes and villains.

Interestingly, in the fall of 2022 DC will have a whole Justice League roster of dead superheroes that need resurrecting

Just sayin’…

Here’s that preview of ‘Inner Demon’:

Shadow War Zone #1 seems to set up other significant storylines as well.

In ‘Old Friends’ by Shadow War master planner Joshua Williamson and artist Otto Schmidt, Black Canary faces off with protégé assassin Angel Breaker, her “best and former student.”

Despite their history, Angel Breaker is a new character and DC says her showdown with Dinah has major ramifications for Black Canary in Shadow War Omega #1 on sale May 31.

Interestingly, in the original solicitation of Shadow War Zone #1, DC teased the new villain Angel Breaker has a connection Ghost-Maker.

Here’s that preview:

And speaking of Ghost-Maker, ‘Panic Room’ by writer Ed Brisson and artists Mike Bowden, Mark Morales, and Antonio Fabela stars the new(ish) Batman rival/anti-hero and with Black Spider and Clownhunter.

Ghost-Maker has been mentoring Clownhunter who prepares for the “final exam to end all final exams” as he’s charged with protecting Black Spider from an all-out assault from the League of Assassins.

According to DC, the story sets up Clownhunter’s “evolution” and the return of Batman Incorporated in the upcoming Batman 2022 Annual, on sale May 31.

And here’s that preview:

Finally, Harley Quinn writer Stephanie Phillips and artist Ann Maulina pair up for ‘Ninjas! At the Arcade.’

Harley battles another group of ninjas from the League of Assassins (it has an unlimited disposable supply) in an arcade, complete with “lights, noise, and an impressive collection of movie quotes” from Harley.

Also, Luke Fox and an “unlikely ally” think Harley is the perfect addition to their ‘team,” but DC isn’t revealing what team and for what purpose … yet.

The main cover seen above is by Jonboy Meyers and Shadow War Zone #1 has another variant cover by Leirix featuring Angel Breaker also seen above. It also features a fun Uncanny X-Men #141 homage variant cover by artist Howard Porter you can see over here.

If Ra’s al Ghul is really dead then the DCU just lost one of the best Batman best villains of all time.

(opens in new tab)

Batman: The White Knight Presents – Red Hood will be co-written by Murphy along with Clayton McCormack, with art from Simone di Meo and colorist Dave Stewart, and, as the title indicates, it’ll focus on the White Knight-verse version of Jason Todd, the former Robin turned violent gun-toting vigilante the Red Hood.

In the story, Jason Todd turns to his predecessor as Robin, Dick Grayson/Nightwing for help in a mission to save Bruce Wayne from the villainous Derek Powers (fans of Batman Beyond will know Powers as one of that franchise’s core villains).

What’s more, Jason’s bloodthirsty methods will be challenged when he takes on a Robin of his own, a girl named Gan, described in the announcement as “a local girl from East Backport who needs his help to save her neighborhood from a super-criminal terrorizing its citizens.”

“People have been asking me for years about Jason Todd in the White Knight universe,” states Sean Murphy in the announcement.

“We are trying to reinvent Jason into the Beyond timeline, while also honoring what made him so compelling for readers in the first place.”

Batman: The White Knight Presents – The Red Hood #1 goes on sale July 26 with a cover from Murphy himself, two covers from series artist Simone Di Meo, and two covers from artist Olivier Coipel. Stay tuned to Newsarama for DC’s full July 2022 solicitations, coming later this month.

Batman Unburied, a scripted podcast featuring actor Winston Duke (M’Baku in the MCU) as Bruce Wayne/Batman kicking off a multi-year partnership between Spotify, Warner Bros., and DC will launch globally on May 3, 2022.

Described as a psychological thriller that will take listeners on a “new journey deep into the mind of Bruce Wayne,” in Batman Unburied listeners are introduced to a Batman who is a forensic pathologist in his civilian life, “working in the bowels of Gotham Hospital” and tasked with examining the victims of The Harvester, a Gotham City serial killer.

Winston’s Wayne has to navigate a series of dark twists and turns with some classic Batman villains and face his own mental demons to save the citizens of Gotham from The Harvester.

Spotify, Warner Bros., and DC have released a US version of the trailer.

Batman Unburied will premiere globally with eight adaptations of the original English-language script for Brazil, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, and Mexico. Each version will feature local original talent and production teams, and the adapted scripts are specifically crafted to “reflect the culture and language that remains true to the core story.”

Executive produced by David S. Goyer, Winston is joined in the lead role in its other international versions by Rocco Pitanga (Brazil), Dali Benssalah (France), Murathan Muslu (Germany), Amit Sadh (India), Ario Bayu (Indonesia), Claudio Santamaria (Italy), Ryohei Otani (Japan), and Alfonso Herrera (Mexico).

DC’s big June event is the start of the seven-issue event Dark Crisis proper, along with questions about how Dark Crisis fits in the current DCU timeline.

Dark Crisis is set in the future, when the Justice League is dead, even though there is no longer a monthly Justice League title, the dead Justice League members such as Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, and Aquaman are still alive and kicking in their ongoing series.

But June’s The Flash ongoing begins a story arc trying into the events of Dark Crisis, and DC is launching a new limited series Dark Crisis: Young Justice (there’s that Dark Crisis-colon stuff we told you to look for) in which Tim Drake, Impulse, Superboy, and Cassie Sandsmark get the band back together in the wake of the world mourning the loss of the dead Justice Leaguers … who aren’t dead in their own titles.

Hmmm, we’ll have thoughts on that game of DC continuity Jenga another time, but until then check out the rest of what DC has in store for June, including its Pride Month celebration with a new volume of its now-annual DC Pride anthology and new series starring Nubia, the Earth-11 Teen Justice, Poison Ivy, and a Tim Drake special, who reunites with his old Young Justice teammates Impulse, Superboy and … wait a minute.

No, as we say … another time.

The still-alive Batman returns to Gotham City, Black Adam also gets a new series, Flashpoint Beyond keeps going, Aquaman and the Flash team-up before or after they die in the new series Voidsong, and the Earth-Prime CW-DC comic book series wraps up.

So check out all of DC’s June 2022 solicitations and covers and you can also check out the DC March 2022 solicitations, the DC April 2022 solicitations, and the DC May 2022 solicitations and/or scroll through all of DC and Marvel’s most recent solicitations (including Marvel’s May edition) on our solicitations tab.

They are touched by a dark and terrible force from beyond our reality, silent but for the one note they emit that freezes all motion. Their mission: to drain the Earth of all its kinetic energy and leave it a lifeless husk. They never expected anyone could escape their song—but the Flash was in the Speed Force when they struck, and Aquaman was in the deepest ravine far below the ocean’s floor. You know how the whole villain origin story is usually about the “one bad day” that changed everything? I think it’s Tuesday most of the time. But what if it’s, like, a lot of bad days, and some of them were even caused by me, Harley Quinn? Well, that would be a recipe for one pretty bad villain, right? The secret origin story of a brutal new villain, Verdict, is revealed here! Though I guess it won’t be very secret once we reveal it, huh?
