]]>Batman v Superman didn’t win the Worst Picture award (the big one went to mockumentary Hillary’s America), but it took home the awards for Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off, or Sequel and Worst Screenplay. Congrats.
Ben Affleck may have every reason to feel like Sad-fleck (opens in new tab) as he picked up Worst Screen Combo alongside super buddy Henry Cavill, with Jesse Eisenberg’s portrayal of Lex Luthor beating out Suicide Squad’s (opens in new tab) Jared Leto for the honour of Worst Supporting Actor. The full list of winners, if you want to call them that, are below *rings the ‘shame’ bell*

]]>“I did see Batman v Superman”, Stan told The Daily Beast (opens in new tab), “and I enjoyed it. I think visually it was insane. I thought Ben Affleck was an incredible Batman. I thought that fight sequence he had against all the guys, that was sick. Even Jesse Eisenberg was cracking me up at some points”.
“I also think that DC is at a point right now where, it’s been my impression, they want to get to Justice League”, Stan continued. “They want to go ahead and kind of get everybody fighting together. And I think the best way to jumpstart that was to get what I think most people wanted to see for a long time: Batman vs. Superman, two of the biggest superheroes in history”.
I’m in partial agreement with Stan here; Visually there’s a lot to like in Batman v Superman, Ben Affleck was very convincing as both Bruce Wayne and Batman, and the scene where he takes on multiple thugs is one of the film’s few highlights.
There are times when we hear how someone at one company said something negative about their rival, so it’s nice to hear Stan giving a compliment to the competition – although he’s keen to point out that “I’m a Marvel guy, man”. Here’s hoping he and everyone else continues to enjoy DC’s output.
Directed by Joe Russo and Anthony Russo, and starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey, Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chadwick Boseman, Tom Holland, Anthony Mackie, and Sebastian Stan, Captain America: Civil War is playing in cinemas now.

]]>Latino Review (opens in new tab) is reporting that Smith is in negotiations to join Ben Affleck’s solo Batman movie The Batman. The story goes on to say that it would be a “major role” and we may be getting a “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly scenario”, which could see the Dark Knight teaming up with the marksman to take down a villain.

It’s worth noting that this is all speculation right now, but a team-up between Affleck’s Batman and Smith’s Deadshot would be huge news and would make for another supersized superhero movie for Warner Bros. We’re looking forward to seeing what each actor will bring to their characters next year.
Directed by David Ayer and starring Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney, and Joel Kinnaman, Suicide Squad will open in the UK and US on 5 August 2016. While Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will arrive in UK and US cinemas on March 25 2016. Check out our analysis of the latest trailer below…
