Guild Wars 2’s first closed beta test wrapped up just recently, and the developer is ready to start growing the pool of testers in the coming months. Starting in February, AreaNet will start inviting select members of the press to participate, and the size will grow from then on.

“In March and April we’ll aggressively ramp up the size of our beta test events so that many of you will have a chance to participate,” O’Brien posted. “And of course, this all leads to the release of Guild Wars 2 later this year.”
