Marvel Studios haven’t been shy about showing off (opens in new tab) Captain America: Civil War (opens in new tab) in recent weeks, and we’ll no doubt get lots more information on the film as it gets closer to release.
The latest tease comes from the Russo brothers, who have taken to Facebook to share a behind-the-scenes video from Disney’s mix stage. If you listen closely you’ll be able to make out a few lines of dialogue from General Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross (once again played by William Hurt) who is letting the Avengers know that they will “no longer be a private organisation”. Check it out below…
Aside from Ross’ dialogue – which also includes a brief mention of Thor and Hulk – the other talking point here is that Paul Bettany’s Vision is wearing a dapper suit! Here’s hoping the character gets more screen time in Civil War than he did in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
At this point I don’t need any more selling on Civil War, and while this particular reveal was perfectly fine (we have seen multiple glimpses of this scene in the trailers), I’m really hoping Marvel don’t overdo it when it comes to releasing fresh footage over the next month or so. Looking at their previous marketing campaigns, that probably won’t be the case.
Directed by Joe Russo and Anthony Russo, and starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey, Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chadwick Boseman, Tom Holland, Anthony Mackie, and Sebastian Stan, Captain America: Civil War opens in UK cinemas on April 29, 2016 and May 6, 2016 in the US.
